In this week’s episode, “A Few ‘Gurt Men”, a mock trials spirals into... something else about a stolen yogurt and Bob teams up with Jimmy to catch a restaurant scammer. Oh, and Mort’s back.
“It’s a crime of passionfruit!”
Okay, I am a sucker for courtroom drama I’ll admit and seeing Gene do his best “simple country lawyer” was a delight but of course, Louise was the core of this episode. She’s great at badgering but has a great analytical mind too and thinks fast, she’d be a great asset in the law world even if she has to represent a sadsack weirdo like Mr. Frond but she really did bring it as the gooey soft centre of the Belcher kids. Tina was typically Tina, lost in her own world of fantasy and unfortunately overbearing as in this episode she wasn’t much more than a bunch of id-driven one-liners, expect trouble in the future with Jimmy Jr., Tina.
The B-plot did give us back Mort and it’s still fairly apparent that Mort is actually a horrifying jerk towards Bob and Linda but this did work in a kinda “Bob cannot win” sorta way except it wasn’t as Bob somewhat did win what with the restaurant scammer’s Borat impression extending to the neon green mankini.

A | A fun little outing, Tina did bear a bit too heavy on the episode when she appears but I guess they’re probably playing a longer game there with Tina simply being too much Tina. Everyone did their part, I was contented, maybe Mort should stay away. Small aside, I was also late with this because I simply forgot I wrote it for a few days. |
