The Bends (1995) As many of you know, I'm not the world's biggest Nirvana fan, but maybe that's just because I haven't given their complete discography the time of day it deserves. I hope to learn more about the world of Kurd Cobain and his drug-addled struggles in nineties suburbia and maybe learn something about myself along the way. Pre-Existing Prejudices:What better way to get a full-view of Nirvana than to dip my toes in one of their most lauded works. Very bold artistic decision of Kyle Cobain and gang to use what looks like a climaxing CPR dummy for their album art. No real prejudices for the music within, sorry. Songs:"Planet Telex" Sounds like if Aphex Twin and some nineties pop-rock band had a baby, but that baby was a song instead of a normal baby. Honestly not that bad. "The Bends" Sounds like they're aping a certain... famous nineties grunge band. Yep this is definitely a Nirvana song but were it actually by another band that band should feel bad for blatantly ripping off the sound of Nirvana. Hypothetically. "High and Dry" Kirk really decided to take a day off by whispering throughout half the song. Typical quiet-loud-quiet stuff. Actually, I think I've heard this song before. "Fake Plastic Trees" Okay you can stop sad whispering now. "Bones" The best part of the B-sides from this album is that apparently they're all impossible to find through legal means. Obviously a ploy by Cobain and his motley crew to squeeze out some extra cash. "(Nice Dream)" Apparently this song was featured in an episode of shoutbox-favorite sitcom How I Met Your Mother. That's actually kind of hilarious since this sounds like an Oasis collab. "Just" This one isn't so bad. Probably the best song on the album so far. "My Iron Lung" I like this song as well. Why couldn't they have done this sort of thing throughout the entire album? "Bullet Proof..I Wish I Was" No comment. "Black Star" Sounds like something you'd find in one those angsty teen movies from this period. I had to listen to a live version and say what you will about Nirvana, but they sound more or less the same live as they do in studio recordings. "Sulk" Speaking of angst Actually I've got nothing to say since the audio quality of this live recording is terrible. "Street Spirit (Fade Out)" It's got the nice backing beat of everyone's favorite Staind song. Well actually this obviously came first so Staind ripped them off. Either way this song is boring. Final Thoughts:It's easy to see why Ken Cobain, Courtney Love, that guy from the Foo Fighters, and Billy Corgan are so widely beloved. This classic album with three enjoyable songs tops sure was an experience or something. A+

Crazy Frog Presents Crazy Hits (2005)Wow, has it been it five months already? Time sure passes when you're having fun, but old obligations still remain! Namely getting through the rest of Nirvana's oeuvre in the next installment of this highly anticipated and widely praised series. Pre-Existing Prejudices:Surely it must have been controversial at the time for Kurt Cobain to write and record an album as "Crazy Frog" 11 years after his tragic death. Sometimes art, especially something particularly avant garde and groundbreaking like CFPCH (as the fans call it), can be labeled as "pretentious" and cast aside by a population unwilling or, quite frankly, unable to dissect the complex themes and dynamic imagery contained within its at times molasses-thick narrative. No doubt it's an auditory adventure, a perilous and confusing one, but it's one I'd like to experience together. If you'll join me. Like the great "Moby Dick" author Herman Melville once said " To produce a mighty book, you must choose a mighty theme. No great and enduring volume can ever be written on the flea, though many there be who have tried it." Let's see if Nirvana can attempt the same... but with the humble frog. Songs: "Axel F" lmao the fuckin' frog goes BING BING "Popcorn" Maybe you've heard of this one, a littl "Whoomp! There It Is" eee "1001 Nights" e "Bailando" Bailando "We Like to Party" Wwwe likeer tp paryjj "Don't You Want Me" .. (Tracks 9-26 not included in this review. Sorry!) Final Thoughts:A thinker for sure! Only time will tell if this album grows on me, but for the time being I'm content aseueQASAUqqdswueued u

I feel so betrayed right now.
Maybe I'll listen to Crazy Frog Performs Crazy Hits. Or perhaps we could nominate it for the Anniversary Record Club in three years?

Local Woman's Experience Attests That Yes It Was A Bad Idea It isn't actually a bad album, per se, not in the sense that anyone should ever listen to it, but rather that I'm not sure a compilation of 90's Europop bilge really counts as a CD: its only original "compositions" (if you can call them that) are the "intro" and the final track, "Crazy Sounds," which is just Crazy Frog doing its thing acapella for three minutes (presumably because whoever made this shit couldn't afford the rights to an Eiffel 65 B-side or whatever). Like, "No Limit" is a banger even with the advertised twenty seconds of amphibian masturbation spliced in, and I guess there are worse tracks to listen to than the theme from The Pink Panther and "Popcorn." It's not as actively unpleasant as a Kidz Bop CD, for instance, on account of being mostly instrumental.

Also, magnifying the disappointment, track 7 "Don't You Want Me" is not a cover of the Human League song of the same name.

Scatman's World (1995) Hey guys! It's finally time to wrap up this review series with the final album of Nirvana's famed and storied discography. That's right, "Scatman's World"! I guess Kurt Cobain did a scat album or some shit. You get the idea. Pre-Existing Prejudices:None, since I've never listened to this dumb as fucuheuudwo 48\ Songs: "Welcome to Scatland" T̲̤̟̹̩͈ͧ͑͛͆ͣ̒̑ͯ͗̔̿ͤ̌̌͊̾́͠͝h̴̜̹̙̙̣̖̮̠̖̗͌ͯͤ͐͋̋͌̚͝͠ͅe̵̴̢̢̺̗̻̣̤̖̩̲̤̲͉̯̪͖̫͕ͤ̋̈́̍͋ͪ̏ͬ͒̑̓͗̚͠ ̨̋̏̓̓̑̃̓͌̀̋ͬͪ͞҉̭̞͚̦̳͎q̨̺̹̖͖̺̣̬̻̫̳̳̤͉͈͑̍ͥ̈̓̎ͤ̐ͮ͛͑̾͛̃̉͋ͩͫ͜͝͞ȕ͒ͤ̐́͂̒͏̨͓̼͔͓̜̩̲͎̝̩͈̖͙̻͔͘͠i̴̡̛̗͔̞̭̺̦̱̘͉̱̯̤̭͔̾̔̈́ͨ͌̕ĉ͆̏̓̽̾͗ͦ̓ͣ̍̿́͝҉͚̘̫̝k̴̷̵̶̯̱̣̩͌ͥ̃ͦͫ̍̊͂̍̉̚͢ ̶̧̢͙̹̯͎̜̑ͫ͒ͣ̆ͧ̊ͧ͆̉ͦ̇͑ͬͪ̃̈́b̵̧̹̘̣̤̪͈͉͇̻̳ͪͤ̈́̓̔̔ͮ̽͌͂̔͂̏̓̈́ͨ͠͠r̶̛͉̗͍̣̲̣̼̖̺͓̟̳̭͙͔̟͖͙̽̽ͯ͐̕̕͞ͅo͈̪͉̲̩̤̜͍̟̦̯̞͌̆̓̀̚͠͠ẃ̓͆̿͛̽͗̃͏̵̨̫͕̝̼̪͈̼̣͢͢ǹ̴̮̰͚̠̩̤̞͑ͬ͊̊̽ͧͭ̕͜ ̶̨̫̘̜͚̜̠͎͉̺ͦͮ̌͊ͩͧͯ̒̑̆ͫ̂̌̀̀f̛̘̜̬̲͙̤ͨ̾ͥͨͣ̔ͬͫ̄̇̇̔̈́̕͞ǒ͋͆̂̎́̃ͯͯͫ̇̅͗͂̓̓̚͏̸̭͈̦͇̭̲͉͘̕͞x̸̨̲̣̜̫͖͓͍̠̺̯̹̣̼͕̲͉͔͈ͮ̏̄ͥ͑̎̑̊̎̃̒͡ ̴̶̴̛̘͇͚̝͕̙̰̖̜̠͇̪̟̱͉͍̾̿̽̏̃j̴̡̺̱͖̰͚̳͖͔̖̰͙̰̗̊̇̈́͌ͨ̿̿̅͟͜ų̹̥͎͈͖͍ͭ̊͊͌ͤ̂̑̃̀͒̅̔̃̃̇͒̌ͯ͂m̸̸̳̳̫̗͍͉͕̘̮̞͈ͬͭͩ̿̍̍̍ͫͨͤ̈̍͊ͪ̑́̍̀͢͢ͅp̴̵ͭͩͦͪ̆̑̾́̄̌̇͂̑ͯ̿҉̷̫̜̺̼͓͚̝͉͚͔͇̪̦̦̤̭ͅsͯ̂̃̀ͩ̈́̀͒́͒̅ͤ̑̽̃̅̂͟҉̴̛͇̹͍̞͍̪̘̟̹̭̣̠ͅ ̰̳͈̭̣͚̲͔̹͇͉̙͉͉̮̍̂ͣ͐̈́ͮ̏̔͛ͯ̐ͧ̈̑ͧ̓̀̚͢͞ͅo̧̦̼̥̜͇̟͈͕̝̰͒ͨͨͭͩ́̕͢vͪͩ̅ͩ͐̇̀͜҉̛̗̱͉̗̣̟̗̤͕͈͘e̵̲͎̘͖͈̓̐ͮ̎̅͒̀ͮ̀̀̅̚̚͘r̴͉̟͙̘̯͈͖̋̓̎̆̔̀͞ ̣͍̟̼̭ͩ͌̄ͩ̏̌ͥ̓ͨ̂̎ͬ͂̃͑͜͜͠t̶̡̢̻̳̣͉͙͖̭̖̪̹̻̗̺̘͎͔̙͉̽̍͆̆ͭ̈͑ͪͦ͂̇̾̑̆͊ͩ͡h̢̤͖̦͎̙̗̠́̊̈̍̾ͩ̈́̈ͩ̄̕̕͞ͅe̢̗̘̫̬̳͚͍̝̥̥͖̣̪̱̤͓̳̜̠̓̈ͭͣ͂̾̅͛̇̏̆̐̐̕͘ ̷̡̱̘̦̠̠͉͈̙̟͈͍͑̀̋̌̓͗̔̾̒̒ͩ̄̄̃̄͜l͎͉̩̲̼̫̭̱̯͓̯̠̖͖̥͖̃ͫ͆̎ͮͩ̍̅ͬ̉ͭ̔ͣ̿̉̔́͜͠ͅa̷̢͍͔̥͇̮̮͔͂̍͊ͬͭ̀̈ͨ̏͛͢͢͞z̛̫̫͔̖͍̬̗͈̭ͮ̒̒ͮ͛͊ͦ͌̆ͪ̕͞͝ÿ̴̷͈̗̰̜̺̹́́͐̍̋ͤ̔̾̈́͊̑̊ ̾ͦͥ̈͋ͫͩͬͤ̕҉̗̲̩̟͚̙̬̥͉̝̰̜͙͠͡d̵͚̰̼̮̠̩̩̼̖̰͍̼ͪ́̂ͬ̏̈̉ͥͥ̀̚͜͟o̢͂̇̈́̌͟͡҉͏̳̱̞̥͎̥̝̝̖͖͔͙͕͈͕̻͍g̴̢̢̛̰͓̮͉͇̻̙̜͎͎͈̤͍̝̬͗̾ͩ̏̑̍ͯͫ̊ͪͮ̓ͤ "Scatman's World" testinforum.freeforums.net/testinforum.freeforums.net/testinforum.freeforums.net/testinforum.freeforums.net/

Despacito (2017) Sorry for putting this off for so long, folks. I'm sure you've all been waiting on tenterhooks for my Official Despacito review. This one's a bit different since it's just a single song and not an entire album, but you might just be surprised at how much there actually is talk about, from the backstory of Luis Fonsi and "Daddy Yankee", to just how much this number one hit changed during production. So without further ado... Kill Me Baby (2013) Pre-Existing Prejudices: It's basically Garfield with malformed anime "high schoolers". I say this show is basically Garfield because this show has a grand total of three characters, so you'd better hope you get a lot of mileage out of "clumsy dumbass", "uptight assassin" and "lackadaisical ninja girl" Episodes:"Dogs, Ninjas and Cherry Blossoms" A dog comes into the classroom and Sonya is afraid of it. You see, Sonya is the aforementioned uptight assassin, so it's funny that she's afraid of a dog. Also the dumbass and ninja girl get up to some hijinks. "Nunchucks, Bears and Balloons" Dumbass Girl tries to fight a bear. "Espers, Curses, Rainy Days and Sumo" DG tries to learn psychic powers from Ninja Girl. Also a character named "Unused Character" hits the scene and tries to get her revenge on the two leads. "Ice, Watermelons, Yoga and Assassins" You can probably surmise what the premise of this episode is going to be about based on the title. They do Summer shit. "Bugs, Festivals, The Sea and Puppets" Tired of doing this bit. Final Thoughts:
