I recently started using Habitica as a way to track when I do household chores, assorted work tasks, exercise, and drink water (I drink a ton of water - see "kidney stones" AMA)...and I am a little embarrassed to say how helpful it has been. Habitica basically makes life a pretty simple (so far) RPG. I set up a series of habits (i.e. "drink a glass of water", "walk a mile"), daily tasks (i.e. "take medication", "leave office for lunch") and one-time to-dos (i.e. "schedule A/C maintenance", "go to acupuncture appointment"). As I complete the tasks and mark them done in the app, my character gains XP and gold. I know there's more to the app than that, but so far that's as deep as I've gone with it. Last night Djshe thanked me for finally committing to doing the dishes every day, as opposed to letting them stack up for days at a time like I'd always done before. Suffice to say, it's all paying off. Just curious if anyone else uses Habitica or any other similar "life gamifying apps", and how they've worked out.

My journey with Habitica followed the same path of all my attempts at games. I had enormous enthusiasm for it but then quit as soon as it got hard.
