Mrs David Tennant, Dr. Rumak, and 26 more like this

It's still August 2007
This is what the AV Club looks like: web.archive.org/web/20070810073132/http://www.avclub.com:80/content/
It's hasn't updated for a few days, but the content looks great. And so easily navigated too!
There's loads of articles and reviews from Keith Phipps, Nathan Rabin (the original Year of Flops! And when he had an editor and before all he wrote about was himself), Tasha Robinson, Donna Bowman, Steve Hyden, Scott Tobias and Noel Murray.
Superhero comics are looking played out. At last.
There's an interview with Joss Whedon. He seems nice and it's a shame his Wonder Woman film isn't getting off the ground. I'm sure the Buffy Season 8 comics will turn out well.
There's an interview with Christopher Hitchens. I hope he'll continue to outrage the pieties of sanctimonious god-botherers for many years to come.
Savage Love has a little picture with it. And no comments, which makes sense as surely that wouldn't end well.
There's a button to share content on Digg. Isn't that cool.
They keep a track of which articles are most shared with friends. By email.
Wil Wheaton has a feature on classic videogames.
In wider non-AVC related world news:
Contrary to my and most other people's expectations, The Surge seems to actually be going pretty well at tamping down sectarian violence in Iraq. So hopefully we'll soon see an end to the long-running (4 years!) civil war we started there.
Tony Blair, the Old Fraud, has left office here in the UK, so now the highly-respected Gordon Brown is Prime Minister. He looks a dead cert to squash that little pipsqueak PR-man Cameron in the next election.
Bush Jr is now a lame duck. No matter who gets the nomination for either party and wins the Presidency (I'm hoping for John Edwards - he seems nice) surely we'll never again in our lifetimes see another U.S. President this dismal.
The world economy is going great. US house prices will surely rise indefinitely. There's this thing called a "credit crunch" going on in debt markets, but it's just obscure financial stuff which will never have an impact on the wider economy.
No artist or celebrity who you care about has died recently. (Unless you're particularly invested in Merv Griffin).
In short, everything is either going well or getting better. Most importantly, I am still in my 20s and have a reasonably full head of hair.
