So, this trailer had no slowed down pop song covers and actually played a (somewhat slowed down) version of the Avengers theme. Weird. Jury is still out on whether or not it gave away key plot points. (I'm looking at you Vision getting his infinity stone ripped out of his head) |

So Tom Vaughn-Lawlor is in this movie (though not the trailer) as one of Thanos' henchmen, a guy called Ebony Maw. He's one of the best Irish actors of his generation and according to what I read online the character he plays is in the comic books is considered pretty intelligent, a kind of devious sidekick; so that might actually generate an interesting scene or beat or two somewhere in all that chaos.

Thanos without his gear is really accentuating the fact he is a rip off of Darkseid.
Also, black widow without red hair is just weird. Tony should dye his hair platinum blonde as well.

Finally watched the trailer.
Does it look like it will be a cohesive narrative that makes sense? No!
Does it look like it will be a stylish and flashy event featuring lots of quips and punches? Yes!
That's all I need from my cinema, I'm in.

Thanos looks a lot like the lead Orc in Warcraft, Durotan, and not so much like Josh Brolin as he once did. But I really like the minimalist 'A' poster that was released this week. The colors are almost reminiscent of some of the Interstellar artwork: |

Having seen the Thor movie that just came out, and the way it ended, this trailer makes me less concerned about Thor, much less concerned about Banner/Hulk, and exponentially more concerned about Loki. Disney wouldn't kill off Loki in an Avengers movie, would they? I mean, like, for real. I feel like this is a valid question for any of the actors who were contracted for the original round of MCU movies. My friends say they actually expect Iron Man and/or Captain America to be killed off in one of these two Infinity War movies. But, Loki seems more doubtful. Except that the end of the Thor movie, plus the Loki scene in this trailer look really bad for him.
