What are roles are they nominated for? I like them both, but Metcalf is my favorite of the two.
ETA: Looking at the chatter around it, I'll be happy for either of them. Maybe a little happier for Metcalf, but they're both so great!

The Academy often likes to reward, not the persons who did the best acting, but the persons who did the most acting. Allison Janney it is, then. She has a showier role.

Allison Janney is one of the best actresses going. She just mainly works in TV, where she has racked up 13 emmy nominations and 7 wins.

There's a part of me that associates my knowledge of the fact that "Allison Janney" is the name of a person who exists with Kelsey Grammar, the famous actor from the famous 1990s televised situational comedy Frasier. |
