THE HYPE IS REAL!

As someone who enjoyed Godzilla 2014, and someone who enjoyed Kong: Skull Island even more, I am all the way in on this. I really like how this trailer gets the majesty that these monsters can give off. The shot where Rodan just soars over a town and it is enough to topple builidings? Feels so grand and destructive and amazing. A year feels almost too long a wait.

Definitely excited, but hopefully they lean into the "fun" of Skull Island and steer away from the more dour tones of '14 Godzilla. Or, if they must go in that direction again, just make sure they light it properly and have a more engaging lead than Blandy McBlandface.
