Michael: Okay, um, how do I explain this concisely? This is Tuesdays... and also July. Janet: And sometimes it's never!

This seems fine. Looks like some fun city destroying bad guys destroying easily recognizable landmarks. Woo.
I dunno. I'm starting to feel the Marvel burnout creeping in. I feel like everything is a B- to B+ movie now. Still, I'll probably pay money to see anyway.
And, from the trailer, this feels like it should be taking place before Infinity War. Or, if not, why are they releasing the trailer so early?

I like the Trailer, also the idea of Spidey outside of New York. Still have some rankles leftover from Homecoming, but as long as it is enjoyable that is all that matters. While I did like the dickwad joke at the end from Flash, still kinda mad about how they changed the character up, no way he could ever become Anti-Venom.

The stuff I'm reading says this is post-Endgame. Because it is prompting a ton of people to complain about it being a massive Endgame spoiler.
Which is making me think "Did anyone think they weren't going to bring everyone back in Endgame?"
Anyway, it looks like it could be fun. But, I, too am a bit over the whole "villain's going to destroy a city/the earth/50% of life". It all feels the same.
This isn't just Marvel. Seemingly all blockbusters are like this now. I really wish that last Thor movie hadn't been Ragnarok, and had just been Thor, Loki and Hulk trying to escape the junk planet. Black Panther at least tried to do something different, but it ended up feeling the same in the end.

People have pointed out that Tony Stark doesn't seem to be in this world, but Spiderman is. WHAT IFÂ?â„¢ this is an alternate universe where all the dusted people are? I'm sure my radical ideas have already occurred to others, but I haven't seen this theory anywhere else, not that I'm looking that hard, or really at all, just let me enjoy the trailer, you guys.

I mean, there's no way any of the people that got dusted at the end of IW are going to actually remember what happened once it's reversed in Endgame, right? MCU just isn't built to deal with the ramifications of that not getting hand-waved away for more than one movie. Like, I could see the Avengers that are left to to pull off the plan and maybe someone like Dr. Strange retaining the memories, but everything else is just going to reset and people get on with life like it never happened. In fact, Stark remembering and avoiding Peter because of that seems like just as plausible a reason for his conspicuous absence in the trailer as Tony dying.

As far as this being set after endgame and the dusting being redone. I'm disappointed.... in Infinity War because I knew at the time of watching it the big narrative hook was going to be pointless. It would be different if Infinity War and Endgame were one movie and the dusting was contained to just that, but making it half the story and a whole year later you get the resolution you already know was coming sucks. I do still think there will be people who die in Endgame, but not from the dusting.
