My wife and I started playing Pokemon Violet last night and holy shit, you guys. Holy shit. Unbelievable that a Nintendo first-party game was released in this state. The graphical glitches and framerate are shockingly bad on our vanilla Switch--if this were not a Pokemon game it would NOT be at 72 on Metacritic, honest reviews would have it at half that or less. I know there's another major patch coming next month, but it shouldn't have been necessary in the first place. There is no excuse for a game this basic and non-resource-intensive to run this fuckin' poorly. How is it still that bad? Hasn't it been out for a month or two at this point? Did they not have multiple patches to try and fix that shit? Apparently there's been one patch, but what it could have fixed is a mystery to me b/c of how bad it still is |
