Honestly I thought my recent Persona shilling was much more annoying.

Any rate, if you want to talk about the many goods and services provided to us by the fine people at Nintendo I would be happy to oblige. Did you know that that the new Nintendo Switch OLED model (MSRP $349.99/Β£309.99/AU$539) includes a larger kickstand, expanded internal storage, and an eye popping 7-inch OLED display? It's perfect for when you want to take your play on the go! Available October 8th--Preorder yours today! Thanks, Furukawa-san!

This is more "Nintendrones on Twitter Going Hogwild," but I don't understand the criticism that the base model Steam Deck only comes with 64GB onboard memory. That is exactly how much onboard memory the OLED Switch will have. Both consoles have microSD slots, so you can add as much storage space as you want. People are acting like you have to splash out on one of the SSD model Decks if you want more memory, which as far as I can tell is completely untrue. On the other hand, if you wanted an SSD in your Switch, as far as I'm aware you're SOL. I dunno, it just seems like people are irrationally angry at Valve for making the Switch Pro that Nintendo declined to make for some reason?

I dunno, it just seems like people are irrationally angry at Valve for making the Switch Pro that Nintendo declined to make for some reason? I think the issue is a) since it is billed as basically a Switch Pro, on which you finally could conceivably play some monster 100GB+ games, it's weird that the onboard storage is so paltry, and b) at least Switches have game cards, which alleviate the storage requirements a (little, tiny) bit. Still, if you want to cram what amounts to a decently powered PC into a handheld and still have it retail for $400 something has to give so I don't see much point in complaining about the storage.

MPC, which Nintendo console do you think has the best Guilty Gear games? I'm partial to Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R on the Nintendo Switch myself because then I'm free to take all that pulse pounding 2D fighting action on the go!
ETA: OMG! Almost forgot: Thanks, Furukawa-san!

On the one hand Mario is very good; on the other hand I'm kind of opposed to smartwatches on principle, and Swiss-made watches are way overpriced* these days. Looks pretty cool, though. *To the extent that they're driving up the price of good Japanese-made automatics--which once upon a time were supposed to be the high quality affordable alternatives to Swiss watches--into the $600-$1000 range, but that's a rant for another time.

My wife and I started playing Pokemon Violet last night and holy shit, you guys. Holy shit. Unbelievable that a Nintendo first-party game was released in this state. The graphical glitches and framerate are shockingly bad on our vanilla Switch--if this were not a Pokemon game it would NOT be at 72 on Metacritic, honest reviews would have it at half that or less. I know there's another major patch coming next month, but it shouldn't have been necessary in the first place. There is no excuse for a game this basic and non-resource-intensive to run this fuckin' poorly.

Like you said, if the graphics were ambitious that would be one thing, but so much of the game looks like it's straight out of the GameCube era--just fugly mud-brown hills with the same tiled texture over and over again. Breath of the Wild came out five years ago and looks and runs 10x better.

Did they not have multiple patches to try and fix that shit?
