Okay, with Maura Tierney and Jeff Daniels as leads, it can only be so bad.
A crime drama, with a former cop being found dead and an ex-con being suspected (and protected).
What's immediately obvious, and the reason I created this thread, is that producers are deciding that they're going to fall in step with the prevailing color palette of the day. And for crime/mystery dramas set in the Northeast, that's desaturated blue-green.
All I can say is it's lazy. Any one show or movie doing it: okay, you can defend it as a cinematographic choice. All of them doing it: c'mon. I mean, for a show with "rust" in the title, you'd think they would have more red in it, right?
