I don't like paying taxes any more than anyone, but those "pranks" with the mustard and other garbage are just despicable. It sounds like it's too common for this to be the case, but the optimist in me wants to believe that people who do that find themselves feeling torn up about it mere minutes after they mail the check. They realize that this blatantly stupid and childish act provides only seconds of satisfaction at the cost of someone else's misery.
I can think of one example in which I gave an associate undue shit for something out of his control. In college, a class syllabus had the wrong textbook listed, so the first day of class, those who had purchased the book were told that we'd not be using the $200 book we bought, and in fact we'd need a different $200 book. This was more annoying than anything, until I got to the book store, and the wrong book had been marked out of use and was not accepted for refunds, buy backs or returns. So wait, I bought this yesterday, because the professor fucked up, and now I can't return it? Of course, this was not the fault of the person working with the book desk, but he's the one who had to listen to me rail.
I felt so bad about it that I went back later that day to apologize.

That Martin Sheen segment made me feel oddly peaceful. Kinda reminded me of the end of "Earth: The Book".
You know what I kinda hope dude covers soon? The TTP. I think more people need to be informed on it (and that includes myself.)

That Putin answer was gloriously incoherent. Listen to your husband or maybe get an elephant instead.

If it had to be the end of days, I would happily go out watching a video of President Bartlett speaking.
Yes, I get that he was appearing as Martin Sheen, but he's always President Bartlett to me!

Can we just call him Steve "Chickenfucker" Womack from now on?
EDIT: Hunh. I hadn't finished the episode yet.

I love that they've managed to successfully do the mislabeled map gag so many times. Even when I'm sure it's wrong, like Nebraska this past Sunday, it's still funny.

That was Mrs. Weir from "Freaks & Geeks" as the cat-obsessed woman on the telephone!
(Edit: I originally said Kim. I knew Kim couldn't have been in her mid-40's when she was filming that show.)

Such an excellent cameo opportunity missed. Stephen Colbert spent the last 10 years jokingly shilling (or maybe not jokingly shilling) for Bud Light Lime. I so wanted him to walk out and enjoy a bottle with John.

LazBro Well I don't expect to see Colbert anywhere until around about the time his show is about to launch, which may be why that didn't happen (that and it's a callback to a different show.)

Actually, it's about ethics in HBO comedy journalism.

Let's be fair, they briefly had Brianna Wu on the show, who has been caught faking harassment: I think they realized they had a nutjob on their hands since they edited her interview down to nothing, though.

A lot of important stuff covered this week, I like how Oliver covered how completely exhausted Obama looked having to make condolences for another mass shooting. That's the first thing I thought when I saw his video.

His brief mention of the TPP here gives me hope that he'll devote more time to it on Sunday. I honestly think it'd be a bit irresponsible not to considering how he brought it up.

We all know what the most important story here is: a pug dressed as a slightly larger pug.

And now, Whoopi Goldberg: Holy shit. The crowd went from a playful "Haha, shame on you Whoopi, you went too far there" whoa-laugh to being flat-out crushed by about the halfway point, then just embraced laughing at the woman in flat-out ridicule. I was pretty much right there with them.

Hearing Jack McBrayer say "this is a vagina!" was the funniest thing I had heard in months. Tonight's episode put me in a very, very dark place. One should not get heart palpitations and pangs of guilt for the rest of the night from watching such an enjoyable show.

I remember some of my sex ed involving watching a video of an American woman pretty much exactly like Pam Stenzel; the only reason I'm sure it's not Pam Stenzel is because she had lighter hair colour.
...it may have been Shelly Donahue, actually, as she also did the tape thing.

I've enjoyed very few things more than the smirk on Nick Offerman's face after Megan Mullally commented that the banana was less curvy than she was used to.

I've missed a few episodes, but I think tonight was the angriest I've ever seen John Oliver, and it was fucking glorious.
