Ugh, what's with these fucking assholes all in my way
"YEAH, FUCK THOSE GUYS KILL EM FUCKING KILL EM" "Wait, they're not doing anything wrong, they're just trying to live their life like you. Put yourself in their shoes, maybe you're in their way, and maybe nobody is really at fault here, it's just a simple consequene of modern urban living, for which we already tacitly accepted certain inconveniences in exchange for other conveniences that would otherwise be unavailable, and maybe it's a bit churlishes to start complaining about other people enjoying their share of convenience when we must pay our share of inconvenience that we already accepted" "Fuck it, smile politely, just hate them secretly" *smiles* "FUCK YOU BUDDY, GET OUTTA THE WAY OF MY SPECIALS"
Ah, Bear, you always have the answer. Not like that smug, sanctimonious angel fuck. His first time was with his cousin, you know. He doesn't tell people that, but he did.

Oh hey. Yeah. It's me. Been a while, but I changed my avatar because some perv wrecked on hotties from Doctor Who has a blog that has this bloke's photo from some episode (I am a casual Doctor Who fan who is partial to Doctors 2-6). It was humorously mis-labeled as being Jerry Cornelius. Who is Jerry Cornelius, and why would some misrepresentation of a fictional character give rise to such humor? Frankly, I don't know, or may be ignorant of the underlying references. But, this guy looks nothing like any imagining of Jerry Cornelius that I ever received from reading The Cornelius Quartet (or Chronicles as I read it in its huge and unwieldy trade paperback form).
So, Jerry Cornelius has been an inspiration for many a regarded creative folk in the Comic arts, particularly Grant Morrison and his Gideon Stargrave. The character's instantiation is a form of Moorcock's Eternal Champion; a development of the Multiversity in an early stage for the 20th century. IT'S VERY INTERESTING, DAMMIT!
And, now you know part of the story.
EDIT: Other, dated funny. Any photo that can outsmirk, out-tache an Avery Schreiber headshot has to have some value, somewhere, for someone, doesn't it?

Almost as fun as finding out that Lew Zealand and Pete the Puma have a radio/TV reference in Frank Fontaine.

Hello. I wasn't the most regular commenter over at AVC, and ended up spending most of my time annoyed at that RWG guy who signed his posts even though his username was at the top of them all.

I never actually introduced myself on this thread. I just faded in somewhere a little over a year ago. Hi. I'm ganews. I was reading at AV Club here and there and then registered under this name about 2010 or so. I usually only post there when I have something funny to say, and I'm inordinately proud of my upvote-to-comment ratio, one of the highest for a non-gimmick account ( Carade is probably #1). Now I have almost as many posts here. So I had this whole great idea to do this very post here and include Prince's "1999". But I'm in Japan until Sunday and it snuck up on me because I was viewing the mobile version that doesn't show post count. Now it's even too late for "Thus Spake Zarathustra". It's all up to you to do it now, πͺ silly buns.

Hi, I'm fashionbeast. I live in Milwaukee with a goldfish. I've been reading AV Club for ages and never commented, but I'm here for some reason?
Ah well, hopefully this is fun.

I'm Sukaluski. I started reading the AVC in print in 1999 and I've been reading the AVC online since 2006 (back when they only posted articles once weekly). Prior to mandatory registration, I occasionally posted as "Unregistered Suka." I was never a regular poster, but I hit a long, rough patch where I couldn't post at work, and an even rougher patch where I couldn't see any of the comments. Now I post semi-regularly and can occasionally be found riffing with AVCers on Twitter. I live in the DC area and you may notice me attempting to wrangle the local cats for meet-ups.

Seems like that is within the realm of possibility.

So Deenay (and other newbs who want to chime in), how did ya'll find out about us? Is there usually a link posted in Wednesday's TI's? I'm always curious as to how we grow in numbers. Also I'm wary of strangers...... But I'm a very nice frog!

I saw the link posted in the O'Neal thanksgiving newswire, I think. I like AVC people and was interested in making friends outside of a venue where I'm trying desperately to be pithy. I'm pretty wary of my online security and this seemed like a more secure place to open up than the AVC comments. *Takes notes*

Certainly a distinct lack of characteristic snark, unless the snark is hidden within the mundanity. Classic O'Neal!

Can a banned IP address do it too? That could be problematic, otherwise it's not really that different from the reasons why there's a TMI in the first place.

Abradolph Lincler here, you may know me from reading stories about my dick, if you haven't seen those, you now know me as the guy that immediately started to talk about his dick.
