Is Disqus doing something weird with a bot to improve their stature with whomever runs the AVClub marketing department? Like, are they tracking upvotes in addition to pageviews now as a way to gauge reader engagement?
I put nothing* past Disqus.

This was not in a food thread, but in the comments of the Breaking Bad episode "Buyout". I like how I can tell from my notifications when someone's going through the series and following along with Donna's old reviews, because I get upvotes from consecutive episode threads, spaced an hour or so apart. I should jump to the comments of the next episode to intercept them, and explain how much harder it was for us back when we had to wait a week (or several months!) between each one.

I'm looking for a site for "Splenda Daddies" for men who don't have a lot of sugar, and girls with incipient diabetes.Who the hell is reading the comments of newswire articles from 2010? Funny thing is, it looks like that was from before there were votes - that's the only upvote on that comment, and there are only a few other upvotes sprinkled around the page's comments. I'm looking at the page to see if there's some sort of pattern to the upvotes.
