Now that you mention Dukat as actor, I’m having fun imagining him as sort of a G. Gordon Liddy character. After time in the political wilderness, dominion authorities allow him to release his self-aggradizing autobiography, which leads to him getting a guest role during sweeps on Lakarian Vice (where easygoing Cardassian cop Crokatt, a veteran of the Federation wars who lives on a boat guarded by a his pet water-vole Iloja, has to team up with a newcomer from the Gamma Quadrant, Toubbas, to stem the tide of Lissepian cocaine flowing into Lakarian City). From this he segues into subspace radio, where he finds an eager audience for his rants. Although there’s talk of Dukat plotting his way back to power, he ultimately finds the unconditional adoration he encounters on the lecture circuit more appealing, as his sponsors and handlers do everything they can to keep his little bubble intact.
