That place is GORGEOUS. And I see it just sold. Congratulations on your new house!

That kitchen in that house is inexcusable.

That kitchen in that house is inexcusable. I'm sorry that on the listing the "house type" is just "single family detached" and not "hobbit". I like that the seller seems to be including an organ and a clock, though!

That kitchen in that house is inexcusable. That entire house is inexcusable. It's like a corrugated pipe with spray-on insulation. Peter Jackson is turning in JRR Tolkien's grave right now.

I don't care what y'all say, *I* love it. I actually felt like there were the bones of a good house there. And it comes with a clock and an organ!

That kitchen in that house is inexcusable. I don't get "it was a hobbit-hole, and that means comfort." from that so much as "in the/town of Bedrock," at least from the interior.

I really want the house from Help!, especially the multiple doors and John Lennon's bed. Here's an article from a film design blog about the design touches, and this video explains the doors if you haven't seen it*. * If you have seen the movie, a fun game to play is "Guess When The Beatles Aren't Stoned Out Of Their Fucking Minds". I think there are maybe three whole minutes wherein they might be sober.

I'm not sure I'd buy a flat-roofed house in South Dakota.

Oh my god, luxury real estate lady, how are peasants supposed to properly covet and/or mock the multi million dollar houses if you have only 12 photos posted? TWELVE. OR LESS. For literal “estates”.
(yes the Neverland article took me to her site but all the listings are like that)

This house in Colorado (on HH) has three individual garages, but 2 of the garage bays have a little peaked roof over them, and the third does not. And it's not the one in the center, either - it's peaked roof, peaked roof, not peaked roof. It's really strange and kind of ugly.

My friend's daughter is looking for a new place, and man, there is nothing like looking at 90s or later condos to remind me how goddamn judgey I am about living spaces. All the stuff in her favourites on Zillow just make me want to cry with how awful they are. There They are all so boring and lifeless and have zero personality. She currently lives in the historic area of her town; why move into a boring sterile condo?
I mean I'm not saying that, architecturally, my own house is amazing or anything, but I know that the person in question can afford more than my house costs, and where she lives absolutely has some cute places.

I have a book of historic New York apartment building floor plans! Of course, I really need a magnifying glass to see some of them, but it's really cool!

I feel like I've seen that house on House Hunters before. And I love that pink bathroom! (Although I would change the sink.)

This woman is freaking out (on HH) because the toilet in the bathroom is next to the shower. I mean, what? The standard layout in a suburban home is sink, toilet, tub/shower. She was just aghast!

I hope its water tight, so that in 100 years, you'll be able to look out from the window, and see the fish.

I was reading Edwin Heathcote’s reflections on the Shed, positive at least in respect of the engineering feat (the steel lattice of its carapace mounted on bogies) and the conceptual goal (to ‘create a structure, a bubble, to protect the ecosystem of collective culture within the ruthlessly commercial city’; ‘a beacon of design and culture in the highly corporatised cityscape’) while affirming the awfulness of the wider Hudson Yards development scheme. Be that as it may, at least from photos, it doesn’t appeal at all. Nor the ‘Vessel’.

Ok I applied for a job in Wilmington NC, which is in my top 5 affordable beach towns, and that's giving me a moderate nervous breakdown so let's ignore that and look at houses!
