I can manage mayo mixed into something like tuna or egg salad, as long as it's not overdone, but eating it by itself with a spoon? You'd like that? Wait, where you're from, they don't call peanut butter "mayo", do they? I mean, I don't eat mayo with a spoon, but yeah I totally could. I absolutely adore the stuff. Here's where I practice my "not everyone likes/dislikes the same things as you, and that's ok! There are no right or wrong answers!" as I attempt to stifle the bile rising in my throat. But seriously, if you have an ice cream maker you should add some sugar and cream and give it a spin. I'd be morbidly curious about the results.

Mayonnaise flavor. The best flavor. I can manage mayo mixed into something like tuna or egg salad, as long as it's not overdone, but eating it by itself with a spoon? You'd like that? Wait, where you're from, they don't call peanut butter "mayo", do they? It took living in Europe for a couple of years to come around on mayonnaise. I used to absolutely detest it, but now I think it's delicious on a burger or as a dip for fries or as a binder for curry chicken salad--so basically as a condiment or complement to other ingredients. But...yeah, I remain skeptical on mayo ice cream.

I'll take cauliflower over some tired, played-out broccoli.

Cauliflower is just pale, flavorless, mushier-when-cooked broccoli. Does this look flavorless to you? That looks like cauliflower, which is inherently flavorless, being used as a vehicle for flavor--a job that broccoli is better at, as it's great at absorbing sauces and curries while retaining a certain crispness that cauliflower lacks. (When cooked properly anyway).

Broccoli stems all over my frozen stir fry mixes is a crime. I don't mind the tree parts but just the stems are an abomination. Give me more carrots, water chestnuts and pea pods!

Cauliflower and broccoli both rule! And I don't mean just as canvases for other flavors to paint. I mean plain-ass, raw, bite'em right off the stalk cauliflower and broccoli are delicious. And have LOADS of flavor. Seriously I'll take a bowl of raw cauliflower over carrots or bell peppers or snap peas or whatever other vegetables people like to snack on raw any day. (Yes, I know bell peppers aren't veggies, don't start...)
They're culinary whiz kids as well, but saying they don't have a satisfying texture or flavor of their own is crazy talk to me. They're SO GOOD!

And I'm ok with it not being crisp, potatoes are pretty damn good in curry too.

Lies. I've eaten raw cauliflower. It tastes like what I can only assume hardened wallpaper paste tastes like. Broccoli is amazing and the stems are good and good for you.

We have different expectations for different ingredients. As for broccoli in curries--broccoli is a staple in Thai (or at least Thai-American) curries, and it works really well, particularly as a contrast to softer-textured potatoes and carrots.

I guess I just think of cauliflower as being able to more fully absorb the sauce and take on the flavour, while not bringing a another flavour into the mix that might take away from it. You are right about the Thai thing, though I see fresher and greener flavours going along with Thai cuisine a bit more than I see with Indian which to me has that more stewed for hours, rich belly warming type of thing happening. Then again they do use peas, and those work just fine. So I dunno. I feel way less strongly about his than I did Mayo Ice Cream. Next time i order Indian I'll see if there are any dishes with broccoli for me to try. By the way, pork sashimi is AMAZING.

I never said broccoli was bad, just played-out - which it is when you look at its overuse in fast casual dining. All I’m suggesting is that flavor-complimenting potential of cauliflower has been largely unexplored outside Indian and Indo-Chinese cuisine.

Hello police I’d like to report a food crime, my dippy former coworker posted in an instagram story that she had forgotten to buy limes so she added her MLM lime essential oil to her street corn salad.

I'm going to be honest, I'd eat the butterscotch potato fudge straight out of the jar with a spoon.
