I really liked the 70s aesthetic of the TVA and honestly that was my favorite part. I'm glad that the 'reveal' that Loki is chasing Loki wasn't held up or anything.
One of the Time Lords or whatever looks disturbingly like Kang The Conqueror (on the left) and I wonder if that's going anywhere besides teasing the fanlings.

I have no real idea what's going on with Loki after the second episode, but I don't really mind - it's enjoyable. I find the 70s design plus the sly 90s references really interesting. (Boku, does anyone else remember those??)

I like Caroline Siede's Loki recaps--and she's one of the few remaining bright spots in TOC--but she really needs to come up with more creative speculation than "everybody's a Loki."

Honestly, Owen Wilson's quick rattling-off of natural disasters -- including the hurricane in 2050 Alabama -- was more disturbing than anything else in the episode for me.

I thought it was telling that Agent Mobius was the only one of the TVA contingent sent to that Wal-Mart knockoff store who cared about the feelings of the people who were about to die in there. The others barely even noticed they existed, but he took the time to consider it and tried to make an absolutely terrifying situation slightly less awful. |

I'm enjoying Loki just fine so far and I always like me a little Hiddleston, but I am also patiently waiting for it to become more than just High Budget Legends Of Tomorrow (run around fixing time stuff is basically the same premise of the last few seasons, even the "doors" into different times are the same, and the TVA are just the Time Agency. Which makes Owen Wilson... Gary? Look out for your nipples, Owen!). None of this is meant as a criticism - LoT is the only ArrowVerse show I actually still like/watch- but the parallels are thus far very striking.

Well I’m feeling much more optimistic, now that Loki seems a little more Loki and less overwrought woobie.
Amusingly, Lady possibly Loki looks very much like an online friend’s Loki cosplay.

I'm guessing, with no actual knowledge to back it up, that she's Loki's daughter with Enchantress in one of the universes.
And yeah, the TVA is totally going to end up being actually evil.

I don't think the TVA itself will end up being evil; I think it's going to end up having been co-opted by probably Kang. At some point, Kang will be defeated and the TVA will continue in a non-evil manner. |

Whoever Sylvie turns out to be, I'm 99% sure she's a native of Lamentis-1 and everything we're seeing of Sylvie and Loki on the moon is from her memories as she is Enchanting Loki.
I will be somewhat disappointed if it turns out that Sylvie turns out not to be a variant of Loki after all. I like the way they have matter of factly handled the idea of Sylvie just being a Loki, without any "ew, a girl" crap, and even Loki not dead-naming her.
I really like that Loki confirmed verbally that he's bi and/or pan sexual. Would be nice if it was in a full MCU movie, but it's a step.
Also really like the "Love is a Dagger" metaphor.

I don't think Syvie's Asgardian at all. There were some dialogue hints scattered throughout her speech - a "Jeez," a "This is going to suck," - that felt like giant blinking signs that she's an Earth human who thinks she's Asgardian (or possibly knows she isn't and is only claiming to be).

There is a Marvel 616 character named Sylvie Lushton, who was a regular mortal woman whom Loki imbued with the original Enchantress's powers and such, and she then became the second Enchantress. So that's a possibility.

I appreciate that Sylvie's special power is the same as the demon in Fallen, Denzel Washington's best movie.
I guess I'll just stop going to AVC until after I've seen the most recent episode; even the Spoiler Space article titles are basically spoilers.

I am trying to figure out what exactly I love so much about the 70s aesthetic of the TVA still. Even the Time Keepers animatronics looked right out of the 70s. Kang is probably a red herring kind of easter egg.
I am not really surprised that 'pruning' isn't actually killing anyone but I do wonder what is behind everything.
I shouldn't be surprised that Marvel is so good at ending on "what the fuck" cliffhangers because that's what comics do.
