Thanks! For maybe the first time ever I actually cancelled on rehearsals for the next two days.
Good luck to you!
Yes, when I saw that headline I, too, read it as someone who fails to stay in bed all day, even when trying. Glad to see I'm not alone.

When I was working at the ACLU as a law clerk, we all loved "ACLU Defends Neo-Nazis' Right to Burn Down ACLU Headquarters".

I loved that Netflix one. Definitely should have been too close for comfort for Netflix.

Bwahahahahaha! The question is, are you Paul, or Larry? I'm definitely Paul.

The question is, are you Paul, or Larry? I'm definitely Paul. Definitely Paul most of the time. I was Larry one time, but that was back in vanilla when I was a guild leader of a raiding guild and lost my temper.

An awful lot of Onion articles get my goat. (An expression that is truly strange but I'm too lazy to Google). This one didn't get my goat as much as others have, you have to be actually somewhat accomplished and successful for it to sting. But the Onion often does sting with articles like this. In a good way! "No, I love being reduced to a cultural stereotype" said Alison Portchnik to Alvy Singer in Annie Hall. I myself felt like quite the special snowflake in the 90's, in my twenties, when the Internet was nascent and didn't yet have the ability to crush my spirit in quite that satirical way. To be profiled as a "type". Inneresting.

Missing Girl, Probably RapedThe fake story is about a girl at Indiana University and goes over all the terrible things that "probably" happened to her - but considering that just three years ago a female student from Indiana University went missing and still hasn't been found, it strikes too close too home and a bit tactless.

Hey, if that two-title plan was changed to include Law and Order: Criminal Intent and In the Loop, I would get that.

I can't find it and I'm not going to look for it, but there was one article about how Daddy was going to sleep for a long time and that his kids hoped he would wake up later, and it upset me so much to read that I had to call my wife to talk me down from a low-level anxiety attack. Seriously, fuck that article.

The closest I've gotten to being offended by the Onion was when they did the opinion piece "written" by JonBenet Ramsey about how she's in heaven and everything's OK. There was no real point to it or major joke. It was really fucking weird.

Seriously, fuck that article. Oh, I know the one you mean; "Daddy Put In Bye-Bye Box" or something like that. I can't read it without tearing up and now that I'm a father it's just worse. The worst.
