My problem with the ninja storyline is that it didn't go ANYWHERE. Maybe that's true to comic form, but it's really annoying for a show.

My problem with the ninja storyline is that it didn't go ANYWHERE. Maybe that's true to comic form, but it's really annoying for a show. I didn't really expect it to; I suspect that, if it was intended to have any payoff, that payoff would have been an Elektra series (maybe based on Elektra: Assassin) or miniseries for Netflix down the line. Since the Elektra story didn't seem to be received nearly as well as the Punisher one, Frank got a series and Elektra probably won't.

Ben Grimm See that strikes me as a dumb plan. The ninjas are set up as the season two bad guys because Kingpin is on ice. Making them a nonsensical boring teaser...is pretty consistent with the MCU admittedly, but it's not s good idea. Kingpin will almost certainly come back, for example, but we care about him and what he's up to - the ninja's needed a similar hook.

We just finished S2 and while I think there are legit criticisms to be made, oh my god is Sava annoying.
