If we're looking for a stronger dorky old lady presence here, I would be up for reviewing Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, as mentioned over on TI Proper, or Murder, She Wrote or Walker, Texas Ranger. Because I have the least hip taste in TV ever, and seem to love shows that have commas in the titles! (Although I would also do Rockford Files; that's cool, right?) I would love Murder, She Wrote reviews. My MOM would love Murder, She Wrote reviews. No, seriously, she would. I would also read them.

I have the first two seasons of Due South", so that would work. I'd also be down for "Middleman". I would participate in Middleman. Just got the DVD's and haven't rewatched it since it aired.

I don't have a specific show to discuss yet, but I love this idea and I'd really like to be on board with it! I thought montypark was spearheading this so I actually messaged him the same thing.

I'll go ahead and review the King of the Hill pilot to see if it's something I could do on a regular basis. If nothing else, it gives me an excuse for a DVD marathon.

Let me know if you want a fora for that. And I guess the B5 reviews are gone for good. To think the website once covered B5, DS9 and Farscape. Oh, it was like talking to me from a decade ago.

Seriously, you know what sucks? I want to participate in every single one of these. I. Just. Don't. Have. The time.

Hey Douay-Rheims-Challoner, could you sticky this and/or put it in the TV reviews section? All this nonsense is making me want to spend less time binge-watching tv on netflix, and more time watching slightly less tv on netflix but then writing about it. Will consider that...

Hey Douay-Rheims-Challoner (or whoever else is orchestrating this, I'm just assuming that you're essentially the VanderWerff of this venture), are we just limited to classic TV shows? Can one do a classic web series? Such as, myself (and possibly @scottbaio , assuming he's still cool with my random apropos-of-almost-nothing suggestion that he join me in this as-of-now hypothetical undertaking) covering Homestar Runner?

Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman I would read these. Someone has to keep the memory of Sully alive.

I will volunteer to review the 1990s action tv series Cobra, but I cannot imagine anyone in their right mind wanting to read that. But what about those of us who aren't? By which I mean, the should be reviewed alongside Renegade in a double-feature (I am also assuming the Renegade reviews most mostly consist of repeating the opening narration).

Yeah, especially if the AV Club doesn't cover it, a la Continuum (at least not regularly). Of course, I wouldn't want us to get too detached from the AV Club or anything by reviewing all the current shows. I guess this could be a good place to discuss Mad Men while we're waiting for Todd, though.

^ Oh I agree. The priority is stuff that the AV Club does not cover. Hell, if AV actually picks up Continuum for season three I'd kibosh this.

What about "Due South"? Would anyone be up for that? Due South is a great idea and it just hit me like an anvil to the stomach that TV Club Classic never did Kids In the Hall. Since I'm elderly, I'll volunteer for any KITH episodes that anyone wants to read.

Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman I would read these. Someone has to keep the memory of Sully alive. Oh, those dreamy, flowing locks! And his strong, sensitive, man-of-the-'90s ideals! And all that fringed buckskin and chest hair! How could that memory ever die?

I have now put up a comprehensive list of everything everyone's said they were going to do. Only shows with their own forums are not featured in the list.

We's straight-up doing Cobra reviews. Is dropping them Wednesdays cool with everyone? I'll want a one sentence description for the forum but sure.

Two questions:
How do folks feel about people who aren't AVC veterans joining up for this? For example, I can think of at least three people on my close-pal-Twitter list who've been begging for a forum to talk Charlie Jade...
And, any interest in me doing Ultraviolet? Feels like a six-eps-and-done is something I could manage, and it's sorely overlooked. And, Idris Elba's first big role.

On the one hand, Post-Lupin, I can't turn down the opportunity to talk Charlie Jade with people. And on the other, I've been looking for an excuse to watch Ultraviolet. So go ahead.

What's this?TV Reviews are just a new set of subforums I've tacked onto the TI where people can write reviews of TV series (or webseries, and hey, who knows what else we'd branch out into). Why is this?TV Club Classic on the AV Club is going to end. Many beloved series will never be covered, others will never have their coverage finished (like Cheers and likely Babylon 5 and not to be alarmist but maybe also Gilmore Girls. This was started as a reaction to that, sometimes if you just want a beloved TV series to be given an in-depth look you gotta do it yourself. How do I sign up?Really, all you need to do is to tell me you want to write a review... but more specifically, that you plan to do it soon. Specify you want to write your first review sometime in the next week (not that you'll be kept on any timetable after that, you understand) and I'll set you up your own forum where you can write your posts. What if I don't want to start within a week? You can indicate here you want to review a show anyway. Here is my provisional list of forumless future potential reviews: Charlie Jade. Douay-Rheims-ChallonerCheers. Douay-Rheims-ChallonerDaria. drunkneildiamondDr. Quinn, Medicine Woman. Liz n DicksgivingDue South. @otherguy, NewHereAgainoZachFinal Fantasy VI. @pugsmalone, SensitiveSethPutnamFrasier. Douay-Rheims-ChallonerHomestar Runner. Roy Batty's Pet Dove, @scottbaio Kids In The Hall. thecausticgospelKing Of The Hill. El SidMiddleman. NewHereAgainoZach, @ifwewait Murder She Wrote. Liz n DicksgivingThe Rockford Files. Liz n DicksgivingWalker, Texas Ranger. Liz n DicksgivingStargate (various). Douay-Rheims-ChallonerSpiral. Douay-Rheims-ChallonerUltraviolet. Post-LupinWhat kinds of shows can be reviewed?I have a preference, for obvious reasons, for series that have not been covered by the AV Club or will not be covered (The Wire is a certainty.) Series that will not be fully covered by the AV Club also qualify here. The shows are not exclusively the kinds of shows that would be covered on TV Club Classic, mind, as there are regular TV shows that don't get covered either - whether you're a fan of K-dramas or Continuum, there is a case to be made for covering some current shows too. Can more than one person review a show?Yes. You may collaborate on the reviews or write your own, separate reviews, either way you share a subforum so play nice. You can put me on the list for Band of Brothers as well. Not sure when I'll do it, though, or if anyone wants to join. Also, I feel like whenever we do The Wire, it should be a collaborative effort. I'd be willing to participate.

To be clear, Pear, I was mentioning the Wire as an example of a show we know the AV Club will cover as a TV Club Classic, though they haven't yet. But yeah, I'll add you to BoB.
