There is no player on the Giants I like seeing get beat more than Sergio Romo. I will never forgive that stupid beard. I am somewhat tired of baseball beards as a gimmick. I mean it was funny when Brian Wilson did it several years back, but it has become played out. I strongly support a return to the marvelous mustaches of the '80 (1880s or 1980s...it makes no difference to me). = >

Doesn't that go with the territory with being an alter boy? But seriously fuck the NLCS for being on Fox Sports 1, which I don't get. Was the Outdoors Network not available?

One of them was on regular Fox with a sabermetrics friendly simulcast on Fox Sports 1. I was pretty surprised I got it, I don't get anything cool.

Giants are just trolling the league at this point.

Giants are just trolling the league at this point. They're building up the courage to win a single game against the Royals.

The Royals - THE ROYALS! - are in the World Series. They are undefeated. Kansas City is in a dream. It's a ridiculous, improbable, long-awaited, incredible dream. I don't know what to feel. Nobody knows what to feel. We are jubilant and exultant and delirious.
We are happy not to wake up from this. We are happy if this is a wonderful dream. We deserve the nice dream. We deserve the incredulous, absurd, indelible moment.

Go Royals! I love it! I'm naturally someone who roots for the underdog, so I'll definitely be rooting for the Royals in the World Series. They are really fun to watch.

Ishi-fucking-kawa. Amazing. He was our opening day first baseman! And he sucked so bad he got DFA'd. Funny thing, baseball. Now I'm torn between rooting for the Royals now as the great underdog story or rooting against them out of jealousy. Either way at least the Cards lost miserably, so I'm good. Enjoy the euphoria Emma!

Man, usually I go there for laughs/schadenfreude but I had to stop just now, there is some truly horrific stuff on there. I know all fanbases have people like that but Jesus Christ...awful.

Enjoy the euphoria Emma! He was originally drafted by the Giants! He played on 4 different teams between 2010 and 2014 before coming back to us on a minor league contract He was contemplating retirement last year because it just wasn't happening! Exclamation points! Thanks, IG. I went to a Giants bar in freaking Los Angeles last night. It was incredible. So much fun. My throat hurts from shouting. I know we're spoiled, but it just doesn't get old. Now it's time to crush some dreams and become the most hated team in baseball.

Yeah, once I actually got around to checking it out it went from "Ha, look at all these pissed off cardinals fans" to . So many homophobic slurs. Damn, the cardinals fans are so terrible you can't even experience schadenfreude when they lose.

As a Rays fan, watching James Shields pitch was not fun.

Well. . . obviously not the most ideal of games to have attended as a Royals fan, but still. . . got to go to a World Series home game with my dad last night! Wish the outcome had been different, but the atmosphere was electric at the K (preeeetty different than the 1/4 full games I remember attending in middle school). You had to figure on paper this would be a tough game for us to take, with Shields looking shaky each postseason start and Bumgarner being virtually untouchable, but I didn't think it would be that lopsided. Hoping Ventura will have the stuff to bounce us back tonight.

Aw, wish you had gone to Game 2 instead. Still, getting to attend a World Series home game does sound awesome, in any case. Years from now you can pretend it was Game 2 instead, right?
Go Royals!

Yeah, hopefully for years you'll be able to say "I was at the only World Series game the Royals lost!"

That Royals bullpen is fucking legendary. Davis in particular looks completely unhittable.

Brandon Finnegan is way too young to be so clutch. Good lord.
Tense, anxious game. Herrera's control was not what it should be, but Davis and Holland made it look unfair. More tough, TOUGH ones at AT&T to come. . .

I had the game on the radio in my car as I drove home tonight. When I pulled into the driveway it was bottom of the 9th, one out. I got out my phone and pulled up the ESPN radio app so I could listen to the game as I walked from the car to the house. And then I decided to just sit in the car and listen to the rest of the inning. It was so intense, I didn't want to move.
That was excellent! Go Royals!
