What, no faux outrage over the Cards pitcher saying he threw "Jetes" a couple of batting practice speed pitches in his first at bat during the All star game??? What is wrong with you people? Have you NO RESPECT FOR THE GAME??? Don't you know how to play the game THE RIGHT WAY???!!! Don't you know how this violates EVERY ONE OF BASEBALLS UNWRITTEN RULES!!!!!!!!?? I don't care that it was "Jetes" the GRITTIEST GRITTER that has ever GRITTED it in the major leagues and who has secured the all time slot as worlds most boring interviewer aka Emperor of NOt Saying ANYTHING, grabbing the crown from Lebron.
Of course I am being sarcastic. I just love how everyone forgets that fact that John Kruk acted like a crybaby pussy rather than face Randy Johnson in the all star game and Larry Walker made a mockery of the game again against Johnson in the All Star game. Seriously Jeter is the 3 or 4th worst shortstop in the game, but because the Yankees farm system is for shit and there isn't anyone available to trade for he's gonna play the whole season.
As for determining home field advantage for the World Series just give it to the team in the World Series with the better record.

Over the weekend, I was curious to see what would become of Dan Uggla now that the Braves have cut him loose- I have to admire the succinctness of this A's fan: tinyurl.com/pk42q5o

Mets will face the AL East next year, which means for the first time, my relationship with Ma will finally be tested as we expect her brother to come visit us to watch the Red Sox at CitiField.
Hey, the Red Sox never beat the Mets in a World Series! ;-)

Hey Little Emma how come the Giants home games start so late. 4-0 Pirates already, I may be able to turn in at a decent hour.

yes I know that was probably rhetorical.

Not so much rhetorical as an awful joke

I didn't expect there to be hope in Tampa Bay again, but the Rays are on fire.

Pretty cruel of sports reporters to make Giants fans think we had gotten rid of Dan Uggla.

What the fuck Beane? Cespedes for Lester and Gomes? I feel like I'm taking crazy pills.
Just glad the Pirates didn't try to beat that. Fuck rental players.

He's had some pretty solid errors though So many goddamn errors. Why. Why did all our already not great second basemen options get hurt at once?

What the fuck Beane? Cespedes for Lester and Gomes? I feel like I'm taking crazy pills. Just glad the Pirates didn't try to beat that. Fuck rental players. Feel like that helps out both. Cespedes is a good player, but not great. This is the A's best chance at winning a world series, and probably will be for a while. Hammel wasn't working out, but with Kazmir, Lester, and Smardjzjajaja(I really don't know how to spell his last name), that gives them an overwhelming pitching staff. Cesepedes is good for what? 30 home runs a year, and maybe a .290 average at best? The A's are still going to be putting up runs without him. But now they are going to have a top 4 of SmatyJaJa, Lester, Kazmir, and Gray. That is going to be brutal for anyone to try to win a 7 game series against. The only team who could really match up with that top 4(this year, I doubt Kazmir will be this good next year) is the Dodgers and if the A's face LA that would be in the world series. This should get the A's over the hump finally. Though I do see that there is risk. If they don't win the WS they are not going to get Lester back more than likely. But I'm in the camp that teams shouldn't blow a championship chance, if they are there then they should go all out. Look at the nationals a few years ago, I bet they are regretting shutting Strasburg down.

Okay, now Uggla was DFA'd. Our short, regional nightmare is over.

Going to see the Red Sox vs. the Angels this Friday. I am not looking forward to this ass whooping. I'm mainly going to have an excuse to get embarrassingly drunk in public and shout "SUCK MY DICK, YA FAHKIN' QUEEAH!" at strangers.
Who wants to take bets on how long it will take for me to get stabbed to death?

Angels and Sox have a history, bro, although it's very likely that Bostoners have over-mythologized that and nobody on the west coast cares.

Granted, I am not an Angels fan, but I'm pretty confident that no one cares. Probably like how Angels fans hate the Dodgers, but Dodgers fans are too busy hating the Giants. And how A's fans hate the Giants, but Giants fans are too busy hating the Dodgers. Or how Padres fans hate the Dodgers, but you see where this is going. In fact, I'm surprised that it's Red Sox fans (there are two Sox, you don't get to call yourselves that) who care about the Angels and not the other way around. Don't you guys have some east coast team that's your real rival? But the fact that it's AL might just mean I don't care, so maybe you will get stabbed.

There's been some recent playoff history where the Angels and Sox (the REAL Sox!) have knocked each other out, which has led to a couple onfield brawls. It's nothing like the divisional rivalry that the Red Sox have with the Yankees or, slightly more relevant these days, the Rays, but it's definitely a thing in Boston. But like you said, it's probably a one-way feud and no Los Angelinos give a shit.

Are we sure the Padres hate anyone? Hasn't the fanbase been beatdown into general apathy yet?
