I’ve managed to significantly clear out my closet—I’m not quite at capsule yet, but I think it’s possible—luckily I’ve been very intermittently successful at Crossroads Trading Co., but really the empty space in my closet and sense that I’ve shorn a bit of my past is its own reward.
Next step is getting rid of my bike, which, while a lovely Dutch import in British racing green, is not ridden enough and slightly too big for me, which can make stopping a pain. I’m hoping it goes quickly on Craigslist—given what I’ve seen for other Dutch bikes I have a pretty good chance of breaking even.
Getting rid of some shoes may be a different matter. Craigslist is evidently terrible for shoe sales, and they’re proper trail running and actual tennis shoes, i.e. not tennis shoes as the term is usually used. Since they aren’t saleable as fashion items I’ll have to reactivate my facebook account and go on…Marketplace.

I hurt an old white guy's FEELINGS on NextDoor by bringing up race! Just simply mentioning that it exists! And he literally said my comment was racist. I told him he had a bizarre and incorrect definition of racist and then he got even more whiny and said "but why did you bring it up?"
I am actually pretty damn amused by the fragility of old white guys.

Hahaha I meant emotional fragility, obviously. But my husband has crappy knees (runs in the family) and my back started randomly going out on me in my mid-30s.

I've been feeling so poorly I've only been able to keep the kittens company, not play with them. But today I cleaned up a little and played with them for half an hour. Now they're happily conked out.
They never get TOO bored because they play with each other lots, but I feel like a bad owner when I don't play with them too.
Look, just gimme some inner peace or I'll mop the floor with ya!

A light switch in my basement suddenly stopped working and I successfully replaced it without electrocuting myself. Also, I don't look at my circuit breaker much, but damn are some of the previous owner's labels inscrutable. Took me 15 minutes to find the right breaker and it turns out it was an un-labeled one. Cool.

In my last house I typed up a very nice list of what each breaker went to and tacked it up next to the panel before we sold the house. Just paying it forward a little bit.

Yeah, the labels are somewhat helpful, but seeing as how a lot of the breakers span different parts of the house, I think I'd need to go systematically through the house and figure out what each one does. For instance, the one I turned off for the switch replacement only affected one of the light switches in that same box. It also seems to have controlled a couple of outlets upstairs as my wifi went out, which is plugged in our living room. I assume it was all a bit haphazardly tied in when the previous owners finished the basement.
I've also been in this house for 14 years now and it hasn't really been a problem until now, but I can't say I do much electrical work. I put a new light fixture in our dining room a while back. Guess that one was labeled appropriately.

Today I removed the real wheel hubs off my 1947 Willys Jeep. With a sledgehammer. Actually, I used a specialty tool sold by KaiserWillys, com, wherein you bolt three arms onto three wheel studs, attach them to a center unit with a threaded rod in the middle, put on a double armed center wrench thing-y and beat the living shit out of it with a sledge hammer. This makes it work like a very powerful impact wrench, and allows the hub to be pulled off without damage. When the hub finally comes off, it does so with a loud bang. The whole thing is sort of cathartic, and I ache all over tonight.

It's kinda rickety, but I finished my first attempt to convert a cigar box to a dice tower and tray, using stuff I got from the dollar store (and Daiso), in time to send it to my niece and nephew with the D&D stuff I got them for their birthday.

And, I did it all while I was in my office.
Excellent work, though I'm surprised you didn't re-record that video until you rolled the nat 20.

Thanks! And, as a wise old Jedi almost said, it is a nat 20, from a certain point of view.
I have a plethora of cigar boxes to experiment on with, at least

Managed to put together an entire plant stand! I am weirdly proud of this because my spatial relations abilities are next to nil, and even easy-to-follow diagrams are difficult to apply to the actual 3D objects in front of me.

I really have no idea where best to share this but I'm proud of it so: I'm back in writing. I spent a dozen years writing stuff for the local alt weekly paper and such so it's good to return to it.
It's not journalism, though. Somehow, I'm writing a novel?! It didn't start out that way, but here we are. I'm at about 80,000 words so far, and it's looking to hit 100,000-110,000 when it's all done, if it keeps going the way it's going. So yeah, I'm proud.
(You can please stop reading now if you want to maintain any respect for me because then you won't learn that it's a huge lesbian romance fan fic novel set in the Love Live anime universe. So yeah, there's that. Sorry. But still! It's a lot of writing! And that's an accomplishment!)

I neither read nor write fanfic, nor do I have any idea what the love Live anime universe is, but this is cool nonetheless! Congrats!

That's awesome! Keep at it!
My only (completed) novel is also a fan fiction, but you gotta start somewhere.

I did not have many people show up for the inaugural voyage, but I did finally get around to setting up my projector and screen for movies in the pool. Bonus points if you can guess the movie.

I fulfilled a lifelong ambition on Friday - I got paid to write something. It was just an article about how to use Adobe Audition for recording, but for the first time in my life, I was commissioned, I wrote something, and I got paid for it. And the company in question want me to write for them on an ongoing basis! WOOOO!

Ask them if they want some fiction.
Strictly non-fiction I'm afraid Della, but I'd gladly put in a good word for you if I could.

I took down six ugly sheer curtain panels and a huge ugly scarf that were covering our living room windows and replaced them with two pretty new blue ombre curtain panels.
This turned out to be a slightly bigger deal than it should have been because the scarf had this weird swag in the middle that turned out to be FAKE and created with an extra piece of fabric and some pipe cleaners, and the whole thing was taped/pipe-cleanered on to the curtain rod and hook. So I had to fight with that for awhile as the large curtain rod flopped around.
