Got out the ladder and chimney brush, and cleaned the chimney, stove pipes, and wood stove. Also brought the remaining firewood inside in the rack and boxes. Got to sweep out the basement entryway and get ready for a new load of firewood. With the wood we already have, we are good to go for at least a week when cold weather hits. Propane is still at 60% so we're good there too. Next thing, I need to hook up the backhoe attachment for the tractor, figure out how to use it, and dig up and repair the leaking junction in the water line back to the barn. I hope to get that done next week.

I should think you'd have good insight into the problems faced by homesteaders.
