I highly doubt that, Weather Channel.

"Audacious Idea Would Be The First Of Its Kind" I highly doubt that, Weather Channel. I want to see this start happening with extreme weather alerts. Like 'You Won't Believe What Area This Tornado Is About To Touch Down In'.

The aluminum in watermelon thing’s actually kind of cool: I was expecting explosions, though, so the end results was kinda lackluster given the headline.

Elite Daily strikes again! Numb and Dumb: Why This Generation Needs to Get Fucked Up Just To Feel
Now, I know this is part of ED's specific brand of paper-thin bullshit clickbait, easily disproven by anyone who has read a book/newspaper/magazine, seen a film, watched TV, or has heard the terms 'Baby Boomer' or 'Generation X' (wait until they hear of Woodstock or watch a Kevin Smith film!). And yet, it still pisses me the fuck off for being one of the most egregious wastes of keystrokes out there. Some sample quotes: Really? I could have sworn the vast majority of Gen Y/the Millennials were the biggest oversharers around. Gotta make sure we know that you went to 'The School of Hard Knocks at the University of Life' and that you like Marilyn Monroe pictures where she talks about only deserving her at her best when you could also accept her at her worst. Uh-huh. Again, I'm sure the Baby Boomers and Gen X has a lot to say about this. There were raves in the 80s!

"and that you like Marilyn Monroe pictures where she talks about only deserving her at her best when you could also accept her at her worst." I literally saw this somewhere online for the first time earlier today. I rolled my eyes so hard I saw the inside of my skull.

I literally saw this somewhere online for the first time earlier today. I rolled my eyes so hard I saw the inside of my skull. I envy you so much that you are now just seeing those goddamn photos. A year or so back, I started unfollowing people if they posted them. Yes, it's wonderful to have a partner who supports you, high or low. No, it can't all be boiled down to that dichotomous sound bite. And while I like Marilyn Monroe, given her rather public airings of some very personal issues, perhaps she may not be the best authority on the subject. Something to consider…

Something to consider… Assuming that is something she even said. I don't care enough to look it up, but it screams of something somebody made up and attributed to her for some reason. Like those Dennis Miller rants that people used to forward that were never actually spoken by him, but by some other asshole trying to sound like him.

I don't know if this qualifies as clickbait, but a numbingly stupid headline from our dopey friends at HuffPo:
"Kim Kardashian Supports Kylie Jenner's Decision To Get Lip Fillers"
Bravo. I want to shoot your site, and everyone this article is about, into the Sun.

so pretty much Paul, or manatees, or web bot is churning out a funhouse mirror word salad designed to reinforce our worst compulsions. neat. just remove the allusions to linear time and the future, and you get an apt description of clickbait.

That was a pretty accurate critique of Family Guy, wasn't it? Could never abide that show.

I'm concerned that this headline showed up in the newswire this morning:
To Johnny Cash’s dismay, this outlaw country album was shelved for 40 years
What's going on here, Marah?

"If you are a white man and you think you do not own one of these books, try looking under your bed, it’s probably there." Stupid list, any reasonably well-read person will have one of these. Any asshole's asshole would own Tucker Max's book. As far as missed entries: uhh, the Bible?

Jared Leto is Somehow Older Than These Celebrities
I believe the mechanism for his greater age involves his being born earlier than the other celebrities.

Weather Channel has some choice selections this morning:
"They Launched It Into Space And Won't Tell You What It Will Do" and possibly my favorite of all time...."It's Coming Next Week And It Won't Feel Pleasant" (insert menstruation joke here).
