They paid the price of a first rounder just to not go to the playoffs, when they could have easily kept that first rounder just to not go to the playoffs, and get a better draft pick!

Bradford isn't even starting lol Was anyone really expecting him too with only a short week to learn the offense? I mean Shaun Hill is bad but at least he knows the playbook enough to minimize some of the stupid. |

Thoughts from watching my first full NFL game. Patriots/Cardinals, I was going for the Cardinals because of superior name and jerseys. (Although as per previous shoutbox discussions my team is officially the Green Bay Packers. And I heard they won that game, so yay.)
1) Goddamn you really drag out four x fifteen minute quarters huh. At any point do players sit down and think "You know, games don't have to take this long. We could settle this in a quick two hours and be home in time for Law and Order"?
2) Linebackers are awesome. Their whole job for the day is run through the offensive line and attempt to hurt someone.
3) In that vein, 'roughing the passer' fouls are laaaaaaaaaaaaame.
4) 'Unsportsmanlike conduct' fouls are also lame. If you're going to have so many breaks in play let the players get creative with it. Guy did a little dance after doing something cool and ref was like "you lose ten yards and we're replaying the down, suck it"
5) Kickers who miss gamewinning field goals... YOU LITERALLY HAD ONE JOB, GUY. JUST ONE.

I hope whoever comes after Goodell consigns this stupid, fun hating (and in all seriousness actually kinda racist) rule to the dustbin of history.
In Chandler Catanzaro's (Cards Kicker) defense it looked like the Long Snapper (and to a certain extent the Punter Drew Butler, who clearly has forgotten the lessons of Ace Ventura) were more to blame.

Fantasy Football's lovely, isn't it. I drafted Ameer Abdullah (out for at least 6 weeks), Danny Woodhead (out for the season) and Doug Martin (out for at least 3 weeks). I'm gonna go ahead and say that this development is 'ungood'. Watch out for DeMarco Murray getting injured in the second quarter this week.
