Outlet shopping hoorah! I just got a snazzy Michael Kors handbag that retails for $350 for $148 tax included! Almost makes this business trip to Indiana worth it. Which outlet mall?

Just outside Indianapolis. They have a micheal kors boutique, coach, Ralph Lauren, Levi's, gap, jcrew, banana republic, Clarke's, Talbots... Hope to report further since there's nothing else to do here.

Hope to report further since there's nothing else to do here. I've never been to that one - I rarely get past Greenwood when I'm down there. But that's cool. Indianapolis is a nice city, but there's not much outside of it, that's for sure. (I went to college in Greencastle, which is to the southwest of Indy, and have a fair amount of friends in that area.)

It does prove that even male models wearing well-tailored clothes look like dorks in shorts. Not that it's going to keep me from wearing shorts.

Outlet shopping score pt. 2! I just remembered that Chicago has a huge outlet mall by the airport! Got this italian wool coat at All Saints for $225 plus tax (50% off). For some reason I always wanted a long checkered coat!

Where can I get cute underwear online that isn't upwards of $10 a pair? I'm not spending $15 for a pair of drawers, sheesh.

I was just having this discussion with my husband yesterday because my year+ old Victoria's Secret undies are still in decent shape while my ~6 mo old Hanes are all ratty already. Are you looking for fairly standard cotton? Victoria's Secret, much as they do annoy me, have pretty good undies. Aerie (by American Eagle) are super cute, strangely $9-$12.50 a pair on their own, but they have 7 for 27.50 which is a significant discount.

I do like VS too, but I'm looking for something a little cuter than plain cotton. Can you believe Kohl's cute undies were $16/pair? Ugh.

I got two of my new pairs of undies yesterday (they were shipped in two packages) and they are super-cute and comfy. Yay! Now I can toss my old raggedy pairs out.

I can't say exactly what it is that gives me this impression, but that model has the posture and bearing of someone who's about to throw themselves off a bridge. I know heroin-chic was a thing. Is despondency/suicide-chic a thing, too?

So, Wet Seal is going out of business and all their stuff is deeply discounted. Yet another clothing store that has nice simple styles that fit me well and are affordable is folding, sigh. Anyway, it might be worth checking out, ladies. www.wetseal.com/

How many coats and jackets do people normally have? I decided to count mine and I have 12 for varying weather conditions and ensembles (10 if we're discounting one that I'm getting rid of and another that's just a running top). Is that excessive?

I have.... 2 winter-weight wool coats, a denim jacket, an M65 knock-off from the Gap, a plaid shirt-jacket thing, 4 odd jackets/blazers, and 4 suits. So depending on how you count them that's anywhere from 5 to 13. In unrelated news, I have very expensive taste, which I don't feel *bad* about, because anything else would mean I was buying trash, but it's very inconvenient.

I have (1) very heavy long puffy winter coat, (1) medium weight wool-blend winter peacoat, (2) zip-up hoodies, (1) running-style pullover, (1) fleece I rarely ever wear ... I think that's it. So 6?

1. Pink raincoat w/ removable lining 2. Houndstooth wool coat (which I haven't worn since 2013 when I left Mass.) 3. Black double-breasted light weight coat (which I love) 4. Burgundy fleece jacket 5. Pink zip sweater hoodie
I think that's all of them.

Oh, I have two zip-up fleece things too, but I forgot about them because they're both branded junk I got as a "Christmas present" at work so I use them only for stinky tasks like running in the rain.

Perhaps it depends on your climate. I live in the midwest and I have seven proper coats: 1) giant puffy coat with hood for below freezing temps 2) short, black insulated jacket for temps between 30-50 degrees F 3) formal button-up wool coat 4) cotton pea coat for temps above 50 degrees 5) dark dressy evening overcoat 6) light dressy evening overcoat 7) fashionable jacket for chilly summer evenings. On top of that, I have at least half a dozen hoodies, fleeces, and track jackets for layering purposes.

I like how you peeps are able to enumerate your jackets at the drop of a hat. I actually listed out my jackets on my yellow legal pad at lunch to count how many I had. Since we're sharing, my outerwear is:
- Brown Old Navy winter coat
- Black overcoat
- Light brown winter jacket (for warm winter days)
- Khaki traveller's jacket
- Tweed jacket that looks like a sweater
- Blue MEC rain coat
- Winter running jacket
- Winter running jacket (soon to be gotten rid of)
- Grey and orange running top
- Red, white, and blue spring jacket
- Green army-ish jacket
- Green and yellow breakdancing jacket (kind of had this one for a while)
