I watch a lot of those "watch me try all these clothes on" videos on TikTok, and it seems like almost all of the dressy dresses are just shapeless limp satin with no backs. I'm a fan of having confidence and wearing what makes you happy, but I guess I'm too old to really get fashion that is so tightly fitted to the body that you can actually see their belly button. And prom dresses! Holy cow!

I look to Godo, the lone native human in the 1970s Japanese rip-off tv serial (and MST3K classic) Time of the Apes, for all my fashion inspiration I feel like you have good options for both casual and formal wear in this same picture. Also, for a second, I thought this was an AI generated image for "Japanese Planet of the Apes." I'm glad it's not but the initial thought really bummed me out for just a bit. |
