There haven't been any fashion threads the last few weeks, that I've seen anyway, and I have a minor dilemma. Plus it could just be an ongoing fashion thread? We're going on a cruise in a few weeks, which involves dressing up for dinner a bit. I am quite unsure of what shoes to take. I only want to take one pair. I will primarily be wearing them to walk to/from the dining room and actual dining, so a bit of walking but not a ton. The dresses I'm taking are: - navy blue with polka dots, faux-wrap, sorta retro - medium blue A-line (fit & flare) - black with polka dots, fit & flare - black with sparkly accents and ruffles My shoe options are: - black/taupe peep-toe pumps, super cute, but slightly too big - silver heeled sandals, which would work with everything but they are not comfortable (my toes always end up torn up) - bronzey gladiator-ish wedge sandals, very comfortable but I'm not sure if the style works with those dresses? - raspberry pumps that fit well and I wear regularly, but not sure about the color combo Or I could just look for some cheap silver flats because sure, why not buy new shoes?

You should go for comfort and matachability, with a little bit of likeliness of wearing it after the cruise being considered.
Since most of your outfits are dark, I say black flats of some sort.

So you're encouraging me to buy new black flats? All of the choices I listed are shoes I own, weirdly enough I don't own any black flats, but that would seem like a really useful thing to have.

I think some nice black flats would be good, but I also think you could wear your raspberry pumps with those items (all of which sound adorable). Maybe instead of flats, you could get some wedges that aren't gladiator-style.

So what Mrs David Tennant and I are saying is, you MUST go shoe shopping. It's important that you buy new shoes.

Speaking of basic flats, I just bought a pair of Lucky Brand ballet flats. They are so comfy!

I wish I could wear heels and/or peep-toe pumps. My feet look great in heels (every time I try on shoes around my friend, she says I should be a shoe model) but I literally get vertigo.

Can you wear wedges? I don't like very high heels, I feel clompy and klutzy in them, so most of my heels are 2 inches or less. These are my raspberry pumps.

I might actually be able to wear something like that because the heel is low and fat. I've never seen that website before - I'm going to have to peruse it tonight. (I can wear wedges if they are fairly low.)

So I can't say whether that site is legit or not But Naturalizer pumps tend to have that kind of heel, and I find them a lot more comfortable in general, I hate narrow wobbly heels.

But my sandals have bit the big one, the heel totally rubbed off on one side (long story) so those aren't really an option anyway. I'm gonna stick with the raspberry pumps, I think.

Nordstrom is having a sale and I have 'points' so this means I must buy shoes. Here are the shoes I bought: deep blue 100% suede, surprisingly comfortable, Vince Camuto stacked heel pumps. Can't see in the pic, but it's a 4" stiletto heel, offset by a .5" platform base. Total cost after discount: $35.

I confess, every spring/summer, I make one offbeat, impractical, or unnecessary purchase with the justification: "you'll look cool at Pitchfork". This is, of course, a delusion, as I am painfully uncool. But at least I have snazzy copper-mirrored sunglasses?

Ongoing works fine, sorry i havent been around to start em.
Its amazing how tough it is to fine a superhero shirt that isnt a box but of all places target came through with an "athletic fit" cap shirt for like $13! Pretty comfy too!
Also got a floral tie and pocket square to wear this weekend to a wedding

I ended up wearing the raspberry pumps, and aside from having swollen feet the first night from the humidity, they worked well and nobody was really looking at my feet. Which is good, because they looked a little weird with my pirate costume, but ...no boots.

Observations on Facial Hair Around the World Based upon the travels of the author during the years 2011-2015
Canada: Pretty much the same as the United States United Kingdom: Full beards are not as common as in the United States, but still pretty common. France: Facial hair is largely rare in Paris, perhaps due to an association with fundamentalist Islam. Spain: It is the rare man in Castile who does not have a full beard, up to and including the King and most political leaders. In Catalonia, however, it is the rare man who does. Morocco: Older men mostly have beards, younger men go for a well-trimmed mustache. Israel: Much like the yarmulke, if not more so, beards are associated almost exclusively with the ultra Orthodox, and are thus uncommon outside the Judean Hills.

I bought this cute red leather braided bracelet with a mini-axe from England and promptly broke it the first time I attempted to put it on. I think I've got it fixed well enough to wear it now.

I was shopping online for capris, and found a "boot-cut capri". Why in the world would you do that? That would mean that you would have a flare around mid-calf, which is not a flattering place for your pants to flare out. I mean, seriously, boot-cut? Even if you wore knee height boots (which you would never wear with capris), it would still look stupid.
