Agreed, and also, the Taco Bell Bell. Always made me laugh. I was only describing the Taco Bell Bell to a friend yesterday and she cracked up right in front of me. It's probably one of my favorite-ever gimmicks aside from Cookie Monster. I would get so disappointed any time anyone mentioned Taco Bell if the Taco Bell Bell didn't end up making an appearance downthread. |

All this time I'd assumed that at least 90% of their readers was from the slacker-at-work crowd. Who knew that so many people were spending their actual personal free time visiting the AV Club? I was in the habit of flipping my laptop open after dinner to scroll through the comment threads for a couple of hours. I'm sort of isolated where I am right now, so it was sort of a way of engaging in actual intelligent conversation. And kept me from having to deal with the steakheads at my local bar. Two things, welcome to the TI. Also, I wish I had a local bar. |

Why does Univision even have more than one website now? They should all just redirect to the same gaping maw of an address. Three simple letters: SEO They have so much SEO clout built up between all of those sites that it is far more advantageous to keep them all. Hopefully Google will one day find a way to adjust their algorithm that doesn't reward the constant churn of vacant content. |

I think the things we're pessimistic about he's either apathetic towards or actively gleeful about; i.e., he has the ability to send anyone mocking him back to the greys. I've said it before, but I don't think he likes us very much. |

I don't like that I can't just cruise down to the reviews box on the homepage and check out what movies came out and what the ratings are. I mean, I don't care about a C grade on a cheap action movie I've never heard of, but if something is hanging out with an A, D, or F, that's a click through.

Click Profile and then the Groups tab. Forever I've been wondering how many comments I had to make to go from TI Forumite to something else like "Prolific Poster". I thought it was a set number that was kept secret and then one day I'd be approached by two gentlemen in suits and asked to put on a blindfold and yada yada yada, I'd move to the next degree. Little did I know it was just a matter of clicking and requesting. I am now officially an AV Clubber. Uh, I think. I don't feel like I have enough comments to yet request entry to one of the others. Unrelated inquiry: Why am I so skilled at wasting the fuck out of a day, and why is that not the type of thing people are willing to pay me big bucks to do? |
