Separating? 

A group of us are ordering food & we’re giving our selections to one person via text. One of the chicks ordered something I didn’t see on the restaurant’s website; when I asked about it, she said, “I’m just looking at the menu on googlemaps.”

…what? Who does that? Why…why would your first impulse to be to check googlemaps for a menu?!

Why are they assuming this difference is due to changes in shark behaviour?  My first hypothesis is that people are more likely to go swimming during a full moon (eg. the aforementioned 'moonlit swim') and therefore the population of targets available to encounter sharks is higher in that period.

I've been sick of "person talks to themself if different roles/clothes" videos for over a year.

I'm watching Angel, and I just saw a scene where Fred was filing stuff and I'm like, don't put letter size papers in a legal size folder, for crying out loud!

God, yes! The papers have to be folded up and they're all higgledy-piggledy, and it's just a mess.

This guy gets it. Also, do I need a trench coat? Should I move into a rumpled, Columbo stage?

I was in the mall the over day and was curious whether I could get my usual aftershave/cologne there instead of waiting for shipping via Amazon. It was not there, but out of curiosity I did try the Pasha de Cartier—there’s actually a family story involving a certain Demir Pasha, so maybe it will be appropriate.

I pressed gently on the little, clearly-for-men perfume bottle. With only the slightest touch (I am not joking) it sprays out a ton of fragrance all over me arm. I spent the rest of the day smelling like Ibiza’s buttcrack in 1978. Demir Efendi would not have approved.

I put on my fitbit to keep myself moving, and have told it to go fuck off for the past two hours....so that's how my day is going.

My college bff and her family are at Disney for the week. They live in Milwaukee but were flying out of O'Hare, so I was an excellent friend and drove them to the airport and I am keeping her car at our house for the week. I drove it back from the airport and the whole way back I heard this faint car-horn sound. At first I didn't think much of it, because I was on the highway and people honk sometimes, but it continued, intermittently. It didn't seem to be coming from the car's horn; it was a somewhat distant sound. But I could not figure it out and was starting to worry a little that something was wrong.

But I got home, parked her car, no problem, and then texted my friend just to let her know.

...It was her 3 year old's Paw Patrol car.

Did you ever bite your tongue really hard while eating and subsequently wonder how you managed to live this long?

I still think that the estate of Lou Reed should partner with the Metropolitan Museum Of Art for a special exhibit on Post-Impressionism called I Love You, Cézanne.
