Yeah, I realized about halfway through last night's game that I suddenly cared and it's now going to be fucking heartbreaking when they lose. I'd written them off midway through game 2 and had fully accepted that this was going to be a very short playoff run, but now the fuckers have cursed me with hope |

I'm hoping the Leafs win this series and do well in the next round, because in a couple of years like all non-Leafs fans will, I suspect I'll immensely resent them for their success, so I might as well cheer for Matthews while he's fun to pull for and not the face of the most insufferable successful team in the league. |

Sigh. I hope y'all aren't wanting to foist Brad Marchand on Americans permanently. We already have enough assholes here.
Guess I'm now rooting for TB in that series. I hate Marchand's stupid face, and I don't like the Bruins. At least there would be some enjoyment in seeing a sunbelt team beat the Bruins.
Definitely rooting for Vegas over the Sharks. Looking forward to the inevitable Sharks playoff collapse.
And, of course. Of course the second round matchup is Caps/Pens. I wonder if Ovi has nightmares about penguins.

After watching the Caps/Pens game, I have one question: Who is Doc Emrick blackmailing that he has a national play-by-play gig? That entire broadcast is the absolute worst. No wonder the NHL is so unpopular.
Myself I'm very sad but also kind of relieved. 3 years of intense playoff hockey is too much, it will be nice to have May and June free |
