Gentle Herpes, contender with NerdInTheBasement for the Daytime Emmy for Firstie Sniping, has got the most likes that have ever been awarded to one comment: on the cancellation of Community. Even with the general increase in upvotes since NuDisqus, that's saying something. The previous record holder was the more obscure DallasDude71, giving voice to the voiceless about the Old Country redesign. I've never seen one with more than the ~1500 votes above. |

Getting a lot of upvotes is nice, but the people who really win in life are the ones who give away more upvotes than they get. (As long as they're not just giving them away indiscriminately, a la Zodiac Commentliker)

I don't have a link, and this is only in memory because I really don't want to seek it out, but Todd had a very highly upvoted comment on one of his Girls reviews, responding to someone saying something derogatory about Lena Dunham's appearance. I think it was 1000+. Though perhaps that doesn't count because he was staff? |
