I have not, to my knowledge, merged my AVC and (pretty much unused) discus account. My AVC account went for a couple of weeks recently when I could not login. I eventually found that if I used an incognito window it would let me login. Never found out why. Eventually it started letting me log in normally and stay logged in. Never found out why that either. You might try an incognito window, just for giggles. Thanks, that worked! I guess I'm having an AdBlock vs. AVC problem? I never did figure out what was going on, or how and why it corrected itself. |

Seriously? Just tried to reply to a deeply innocuous post, Disqus sez 'you are trying to reply to a post removed by a moderator'.
For the record, this oh-so-contentious comment (*on the Giant Blige post) was:

Meanwhile, no other Ghostbusters quotes were removed.

..and we're back to "no, you can't log in with a AVC password". Chrome and Safari.
Might have something to do with Mac having a kernel panic last night & needing clean install. I fucking hope not.
EDIT: IT'S NOT JUST ME.
Spielbergo also can't log in according to Twitter. Have AVC finally binned non-Disqus accounts, without telling us?
Honestly, that would be par for the fucking course at this point.

There's a thread about it now in the comments of the Gugino/Hendricks newswire (which is a tragedy, taking any focus off of them). Lots of commentors seem to be of the opinion that it's Disqus only accounts now, but not sure where that's coming from.

When I try to log in using an incognito window in chrome, it says I am logged in, and gives me the option to log out, but my avatar doesn't show up, or any notifications.

Tried with Firefox, IE, and Safari throughout the course of the evening, and never made it once. I got my weekend update on Weekend Box Office, but that was it, apparently. Hope they have this fixed (if it's fixable or if this is even an accident) by the next TI...
And now I just made an "emergency" Disqus account. I feel dirty.

My notification alerts aren't going away. In other words, when I load a new page, I get alerts for new notifications, only to find it's the same ones. If more get added, the notification number grows but no old notifications fall off after checking like they should.

Right now I'm arguing about medieval guilds on a scanlation website for a Korean webcomic while simultaneously discussing a comic book about superpowered teenage runaways on one AVC article and the Canadian election on another article. I feel my identity fraying.
