This probably adds nothing to nothing, so I say it anyway: Other Girl also cancelled a planned visit to the Detroit Meet-Up of aught-thirteen (Franko is very nice in person, though, as I learned from that event).

I would honestly truly like to know what "female to neutral gender transition" entails (not details or anything, just broad strokes). I know what gender to gender transition is, and I know what gender neutral is, it's just the transition part I am not figuring out by context, and the googling I've done so far is just explaining what gender neutral is.
I assume it's not really appropriate for this thread, so if someone has any links or will DM me, that is appreciated.
I also might be doing the thing I do where I'm being too literal or too focused and that keeps me from seeing the most logical or obvious thing. So.

This happened to my third cousin, who is also my uncle (weird family tree) who found out her (formerly his) twin brother was sleeping with her wife any time she was out of town, and the wife who is now lost at sea had no idea it was a different person. |

Lately, in my numerous run-ins lately with people with somewhat serious mental health issues (Twin Flame, former co-worker, Asheville Asshole, etc etc), I have noticed that constant drama is a common theme for them. Usually with borderlines and bipolars. That's if they believe what they're saying . Otherwise they are just liars and/or attention seekers. I wonder how many studies are being done on the internet taking mental health issues from latent to active. More importantly, what happens to them IRL and the poor people who have to put up with them on a daily basis? |

This thread exists for the purpose of alerting our community to the massive fake identity campaign of two commenters we thought we knew. That issue is closed. We have a dedicated thread for monitoring the ongoing activities of our most familiar troll, and that's it. If someone wants to speculate about the real identity of a person who isn't even on TI (anymore), take it to AVC and ask them directly. |

I don't have all the information on this but it's huge news so Snape thought it should be out on the boards and not just in the Shoutbox. For the record, I've met Danson With Myself (on the Avocado) in person, and he's met Harvey Dent, who, I understand, has met others (and Franko and I have exchanged mail). EDIT: And, reading back, it looks like I've repeated myself from several months ago. That said, I don't think I post lengthy tales all the time (part of the reason I missed this whole Mike Van Whatsit saga in the first place, as I've skipped SL for a while until very recently for probably terrible reasons). Other Guy was always a cherished and supportive fellow commenter, though, and I wish Other Guy (whatever the present pronoun) the best. |

I don't really understand what would prompt anyone to catfish others. aside from latent mental health issues, perhaps?
it kinda feels like a lame supervillain plot for the digital age.

I just sped through this whole thread and I am spent. And I know it's months later, but I'm really sorry for anyone who got caught up in it. I know that a lot of the commentariat was quite close with "him"/Opera_punk, and none of you should have had to go through that shit.
I'm echoing what a few people have already said in saying that what befuddles me the most is just how long a span of time we're talking here. EBM was a regular poster when I was in the double digits post-wise. This took *years* to set up.
