Those of us still feverishly holding on to our AVClub accounts know that for some time, you haven't been able to upvote or reply to comments made to you while viewing them in your notifications window. But just today I've discovered you can no longer report users. A sexbot has followed me and there's no way to report it. I can do both upvote and reply in the notifications sidebar but reporting is new. |

The last few days TOC has been engaged in some kind of mindfuckery wherein they show me as fully logged into the site until I try to comment, whereupon it tells me I must "confirm my name and email address". Uh, no. If I wouldn't give that info to that nice Nigerian prince who was going to send me all that money, I sure as hell ain't gonna give it to you assholes again. You got it once when I registered, look it up.
If I log out, and log in again (at the top of the page, but not down by the comments), it lets me comment for a while before it decides to deny my existence again. It still does recognize my AVC login, however. I think. (I can never really be sure, since my AVC and discus info is the same but yet somehow the accounts are not linked.)

I've been getting an assload of spam followers lately, plus some names I just don't recognize. I've purged the obvious spam posters, but not sure whether I should be concerned about the rest.

The world is aflame because the comments are on the side now... either being very compressed or too wide. I still don't think my adblocker can get around this just yet.
Saying that though, we managed to snag a few looking to leave a boat which got painted the wrong colour and now everyone's flipping out because change is almost always bad.

I think Disqus has gone gooey kablooey. I'm seeing it on other sites, too. Unless it's a local problem.

I'm getting the "logged in on front page, not logged in on comments" thing again. Also clicking on comments for me causes a separate tab to open instead of just opening the article. |

And I can see those responses disappear in real time, because if I click to expand comments, some comments that I was literally just reading disappear.
