As far as I could tell there isn't a thread dedicated to showing trailers that look cool, amusing, terrifying, etc. So I figured I'd start one.
Please note, if you're super delicate when it comes to spoilers, be carful what you watch here. Sometimes trailers spoil stuff. To start, Jordan Peele's Get Out follow-up. Which looks scary as hell.

And, Tarantino's latest

And now for something a bit older, but which I think is a brilliant trailer. Doesn't give away anything, starts out seeming kinda goofy (board games, juke box, John Goodman shaking his stuff) then the lights flicker and the music starts slowing waaaay down, and things take a turn. One of those cases where the trailer I think ended up being a bit better than the film it was from.

^ Wow, that actually makes it look like a cool movie. I didn't see it. How much worse than the trailer is it?

Whoever did the posters for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood needs to be fired, they look so plain and generic that it had me worried about the movie, but after seeing the trailer I'm back to all in. Love Tarantino, and this seems like an interesting side step for him. Also, Brad Pitt looks a lot better in this film than he has the past few years.

I haven't seen it in a long while so no fresh impressions, but I remember thinking it was kind of like a 90 minute episode of the Twilight Zone done with a good budget. Not bad by any means as I recall.

Pitt looked great, the guy playing Bruce Lee is astounding, and I loved the little bit on the end with Leo. "Rick Fucking Dalton!" Plus "Dewey Crowe" plays Manson. I'm all in.

I thought they did a great job with this, especially the editing and music, totally fits the mood of the time and the story. If you haven't seen Narcos Mexico though, it is a bit spoilery

So I pretty much swore off of comic book movies as being kinda silly and uninteresting after the first Avengers. But this makes me reconsider my stance, getting a major Taxi Driver vibe here. If reviews are decent I might need to check it out.
Maybe I'm just a snob.

Pastafarian - it'll hopefully open up the opportunity for other kinds of stories from comic books to make it to the big screen, instead of being solely dominated by the usual superhero blockbusters you (and I!) mostly avoid these days. There's just so much material out there. (You're not a snob!)

The Rock/Statham spinoff from Fast and Furious looks amazing. Count me in seeing it in theatres in the first week. This is going to make a billion dollars. I haven't followed the F&F franchise (saw the first one back when it came out, didn't like it, then caught one of the ones with the Rock on HBO at a hotel once, it was okay), but this looks pretty ridiculously awesome. It's a far cry from Vin Diesel stealing VCRs in a suped up Honda Civic, but I'm down for whatever madness is going on here. You can just feel the Rock negotiating his contract to star in this and saying "Look, I'll be in it, but I'm going to need to do a traditional Hawaiian dance with 50 giant dudes before I hit someone in the face with a club." Then the execs look at the box office returns for the last F&F, Moana, and Black Panther and agree to everything.

Every new Hobbs & Shaw trailer looks an additional magnitude of ridiculous...and even more of a must-see for me despite only having seen the first Fast & Furious movie prior to this.

As soon as I saw the old lady, I knew exactly what scene this was going to be. It's always been the scariest one in the book for me, and my god, did this deliver. I can't wait.

Huh, the Watchman series appears to be some sort of sequel? Works for me.

I forgot this scene from the book, but holy lord was that creepy. I literally just watched it on youtube and rushed here to post it. Well done AB!

This seems intriguing to me. I'm not familiar with director or his other work, but I'm down for the weird vibe and Jeff Goldblum playing a character who doesn't appear to just be Jeff Goldblum. I few reviews I've seen from festivals appear to be pretty mixed.

I like that this gives you no indication of what it is until literally the last moment. I was watching thinking "huh, are they doing a Philip K. Dick adaptation or something...?"

I keep wanting to quit on this show but damn if this doesn't look good. More cool sci-fi stuff, less inscrutable story structure. Edited to add, this is probably just the whole first episode, until Delores goes back to the island Westworld and has to restart the whole robot revolution again.

This is such a non-sensical, zombie franchise at this point. There hasn't been a good movie since the second one. The timeline makes no sense. They keep bringing people back - first Arnold now Linda Hamilton - hoping it sparks interest. And, because the T2 was so beloved, they keep trying to recapture the excitement for the for liquid metal terminator by adding more and more advanced robots, but the full CGI just looks shitty and cartoony.
Side note: How are we still do the slow downed, pop music covers in trailers? Feel like this has out lasted the "bwaaaaamp" thing that came out after Inception. I'm not really sure I needed a dude, atonally droning a Bjork song to set the mood for "Terminator: Whatever the Hell Number This One Is."
