Diarrhea PlanetThe bands I like have the worst fucking names. Also, could people maybe link instead of embedding videos? I don't mind, in fact I'm for it, but my laptop is old and set in her ways and as much I try to explain that this the world now and that's a good thing, she's just not going to change at this point.

Just discovered Justin Greaves, founder of my beloved Crippled Black Phoenix, did the score to a low-budget Brit horror called The Devil's Business, so I'm rinsing that right now. justingreaves.bandcamp.com/

Takashi Yoshimatsu's Cello Concerto (Centaurus Unit), which I would love to link on youtube, but alas.

"Blue Murder," from The Feeling's new album, Boy Cried Wolf.
I didn't even know there was a new Feeling album until I happened to spot it as a "Customers Who Bought This Album Also Bought" item on Amazon. I clearly need to keep better track of this sort of thing...

Cat Power - Aretha, Sing One For Me.
She's not a big favourite, and I only have a couple of her albums, but sometimes she hits the spot.

Villagers - Pieces. It's got a nice holiday sadness vibe. I've been doing a lot of singing with my last few weeks alone, and this one is a good example of Conor's range (not mine, which is akin to a wet cat).

Catgun absolutely adores Twin Cinema. "Bleeding Heart Show" is definitely the crown jewel, but that entire album is excellent.

I too love the whole thing, but it's not even my favorite New Pornos album. And Bleeding Heart Show is not even my favorite New Pornos song. Those awards would go to Electric Version (most consistent, IMO) and Letter From an Occupant (the song which began my one-sided torrid affair with Neko Case), respectively. They're also actually one of the extremely few artists I love all albums from.

I am probably more fond of the first three than the others, though. Favorite song is much harder - it's probably "Mass Romantic", though I'd also consider "Bones of an Idol" or "Chump Change", of all things. And don't get me started on Neko Case. I'm absolutely The Chris Farley Show about her.

I'm absolutely The Chris Farley Show about her. You know, Challengers grew on me a lot over time, so I think it's up there with the first three. The last is only very good, not excellent. Heh, Chump Change is great, so I wouldn't begrudge that choice. Though after the two songs I've mentioned I couldn't pick anything else out. It'd be too hard. I heard Neko Case on a podcast where she was so funny, down to earth, and did this hilarious Courtney Love in Hole impression. Just made me fall in love more.
